Abstract: This work deals with the Student Movement built by the students of the first Escola&#xD;
de Serviço Social da Paraíba (ESS/PB), during the period in which the institution was&#xD;
active, with the objective of analyzing the Student Movement at the Escola de&#xD;
Serviço Social da Paraíba in the period from 1951 to 1972. From the point of view of&#xD;
technical procedures, the present study is characterized as documentary and&#xD;
bibliographic research, with an exploratory nature and qualitative approach. The data&#xD;
analysis and organization phase was supported by the content analysis technique&#xD;
(Bardin, 1977), and the treatment of the results obtained and interpretation was&#xD;
based on Marx's dialectical method. We used as sources Peixoto (1994), Morais&#xD;
(2002), the ESS/PB's own documents stored in the Arquivo Setorial of Centro de&#xD;
Ciências Humanas, Letras e Artes (CCHLA/UFPB) and in the drive of the Grupo de&#xD;
Estudos e Pesquisas em Educação Popular, Serviço Social e Movimentos Sociais&#xD;
(Gepedupss), the Banco de Dados Memórias Reveladas, and the reports of the&#xD;
Comissões da Verdade. The study revealed that the Escola de Serviço Social da&#xD;
Paraíba was truly marked by the activism of its students, especially when organized&#xD;
and represented by the Diretório Acadêmico São Tomás de Aquino (DASTA). This&#xD;
reflected the state and national Student Movement (SM), especially during a&#xD;
dictatorial period, supporting a SM aligned with a critical ethical-political perspective.&#xD;
The Social Work Student Movement exists because of the courage and legacy of&#xD;
those who preceded us, and it continues to resist thanks to the tireless struggle of&#xD;
those who build it today.

Abstract: This research is the result of the experience of supervised internships I and II in Social Work,&#xD;
carried out at the Youth Educational Center (CEJ), a deprivation of liberty unit linked to the&#xD;
Alice de Almeida Foundation for the Development of Children and Adolescents (FUNDAC).&#xD;
The objective of the work was to analyze the contribution of Freirean pedagogy to the&#xD;
application of deprivation of liberty measures, carrying out, for this purpose, a brief historical&#xD;
review — with a critical bias — on the consolidation of social policies aimed at guaranteeing&#xD;
the rights of children and adolescents, as well as on their current configuration in Brazil, in the&#xD;
context of the capitalist and penal State. Furthermore, it discusses how such policies unfold&#xD;
under the logic of neoliberalism. After these considerations, it was proposed to reflect on the&#xD;
effectiveness of socio-educational measures in the resocialization of adolescents serving&#xD;
sentences. In order to achieve the proposed objectives and substantiate the arguments presented,&#xD;
bibliographical research was used, based on texts by leading authors in the field of Social Work,&#xD;
as well as scholars who deal with the theme of socio-education. In addition to theoretical&#xD;
research, the work incorporated insights gained from practical experience in supervised&#xD;
internships. It was precisely this experience that sparked the need to assess how encouraging&#xD;
the development of critical awareness in adolescents, through Paulo Freire's pedagogy, can&#xD;
contribute to more effective resocialization. Furthermore, it is observed how this pedagogical&#xD;
approach adds more significant results to the construction of the Individual Care Plan (PIA),&#xD;
considering the development of the life project of the young people served.

Abstract: This Final Graduation Project is the result of the intervention carried out during&#xD;
Mandatory Internship II. It is a qualitative and documentary research with an&#xD;
exploratory character, addressing the evolution of Social Assistance in Brazil,&#xD;
highlighting its transition from a charitable and assistentialist model to a public policy&#xD;
based on rights, especially after the 1988 Constitution. Initially, social assistance was&#xD;
linked to philanthropy and the Catholic Church. However, with the enactment of the&#xD;
Organic Law of Social Assistance (LOAS) in 1993, it came to be recognized as part&#xD;
of the Social Security system, focusing on the protection of vulnerable populations.&#xD;
The research also discusses the importance of the Unified Social Assistance System&#xD;
(SUAS), which organizes and manages Social Assistance in a decentralized manner,&#xD;
and the necessity of an intersectoral approach that includes areas such as health,&#xD;
education, and employment. Social Assistance is divided into Basic and Special&#xD;
Social Protection, aiming to prevent and address situations of vulnerability. At the&#xD;
state level, the study examines how the Social Assistance Policy is organized in&#xD;
Paraíba. From this analysis emerges a concern with institutional racism and the&#xD;
proposal to create an Anti-Racist SUAS Handbook as a tool for raising anti-racist&#xD;
awareness. In this sense, the research aims to highlight the issue of racism in Brazil,&#xD;
emphasizing how colonization and slavery have shaped Brazilian society and&#xD;
perpetuated racial and class inequalities. Racism, one of the legacies of&#xD;
slavery—structural and foundational in nature—is identified as a factor that limits the&#xD;
access of racialized individuals to the full exercise of their rights. This underscores&#xD;
the urgency of providing anti-racist training to Social Assistance professionals. One of&#xD;
the main contributions of this work is the proposal to create the first Anti-Racist&#xD;
Handbook for SUAS professionals in Paraíba. The handbook aims to guide and raise&#xD;
awareness about the importance of combating racism within social assistance&#xD;
policies. It will address fundamental concepts, statistical data, relevant legislation,&#xD;
and anti-racist practices, seeking to promote a more inclusive and equitable&#xD;
approach. In summary, the study emphasizes the need for a Social Assistance&#xD;
system that not only acknowledges but actively combats racial inequalities, promoting&#xD;
equity and social justice.

Abstract: This study explores the role of social workers in health policy, with a specific focus on&#xD;
their work with the homeless population. The general objective is to identify the&#xD;
particularities of social workers' practice in this context. To achieve this, an integrative&#xD;
literature review was conducted by searching scientific databases using descriptors&#xD;
related to Social Work and homelessness. Articles published in the last ten years were&#xD;
selected and analyzed based on relevance and methodological quality criteria. The&#xD;
results indicate that social workers play a fundamental role in mediating access to&#xD;
rights and developing social inclusion strategies. However, the study also highlights&#xD;
challenges such as the precariousness of public policies and difficulties in intersectoral&#xD;
coordination. Furthermore, a scarcity of publications on the topic was identified,&#xD;
reinforcing the need for further studies to deepen the understanding of social workers'&#xD;
role in this setting. The study concludes that the particularities of social work in this&#xD;
context are based on building bonds with users, interdisciplinary collaboration,&#xD;
adherence to the profession's Ethical-Political Project, reception practices, and&#xD;
working conditions.
