Abstract: Database configurations are an important resource that provide a means to store,&#xD;
access, and manage information. In Archival Science, especially in Brazil, databases&#xD;
geared towards the field are new and deserve to be explored by the academic&#xD;
community. Considering the role of these databases in the development of Archival&#xD;
Science as a scientific field and as a communication tool, this study aims to analyze&#xD;
the interface Base de Dados em Arquivística (BDA) and the Base de Dados&#xD;
Pesquisas Arquivísticas Brasileiras (PAB) regarding usability and its interaction with&#xD;
users. This is an exploratory-descriptive research, with a qualitative-quantitative&#xD;
approach, where the first phase involved a heuristic evaluation of the interface of the&#xD;
two databases, using the guidelines proposed by Nielsen and Tahir (2002). The&#xD;
results of this evaluation indicated that the interfaces of the two databases are&#xD;
adequate to most of the proposed guidelines. In addition, the interfaces are&#xD;
considered intuitive, user-friendly, and objective. The second phase consisted of&#xD;
applying a usability test, through a questionnaire to measure the satisfaction of the&#xD;
users of the mentioned databases. The results indicate that the users of BDA and&#xD;
PAB are satisfied with the usability of these databases, however, suggest&#xD;
improvements in the available options for search and information retrieval.

Abstract: The adoption of marketing in information units is based on contributing to &#xD;
management, with regard to its administration, promoting various benefits, such as the &#xD;
improvement of products/services and obtaining greater visibility and appreciation by &#xD;
the community where the drive is inserted. Objective analysis of the scenario of the &#xD;
internal and external environments of the public library Juarez da Gama Batista in João &#xD;
Pessoa - PB, with a view to proposing a marketing plan. It is a descriptive and &#xD;
exploratory research, from the point of view of the objectives, and from the perspective &#xD;
of approaching the problem, it is a research with a qualitative basis, configuring itself &#xD;
as a field study. It uses an open questionnaire as an instrument for data collection, &#xD;
consisting of 22 (twenty-two) questions, based on the labor dimensions that a library &#xD;
presents. It uses content analysis as a technique for analyzing empirical data. It &#xD;
examines the basic elements in the literature for the production of a marketing plan. It &#xD;
reveals the factors that the library needs to improve, henceforth analyzing the scenario &#xD;
of internal and external environments, in order to have a greater performance as an &#xD;
agent of sociocultural transformation. It concludes that the Juarez da Gama Batista &#xD;
Public Library needs to make use of marketing strategies in order to become noticeable&#xD;
to the public authorities and users, these potentials, internal and/or external, through a &#xD;
proposal for the preparation/implementation of a marketing plan to enable satisfactory &#xD;
results in accordance with your expectations and goals.

    <summary type="text">Título: Desvios informacionais nos arquivos: incitando discussões

Abstract: Informational deviations are discussed, relating them in the context of the&#xD;
archives. Methodologically, this research is characterized as being descriptive&#xD;
and exploratory, having a qualitative and bibliographic approach. An overview of&#xD;
the archives as testimonies of facts and actions is presented, in addition to&#xD;
pointing out, in a second moment, informational deviations experienced in&#xD;
society. Through this, it is noted how the activities of classification, evaluation,&#xD;
description, applied to archives, are subject to possible deviations. It is pointed&#xD;
out that ethics is a step to avoid the manipulation of records and data, as well as&#xD;
how essential it is to have a more critical view of the professional who is in front&#xD;
of the files, through the recognition of skills and competence. It is concluded that&#xD;
the archives can be manipulated, as they are reflections of human actions, and&#xD;
should, with these inferences, to another extent, weave future research to deepen&#xD;
on deviations and more specific strata in the field of Archival Science.

Abstract: The present study is aimed to diagnose the archive central UFPB , from the scenario analysis, &#xD;
in what concerns to infrastructure and human resources. For that, it is presented the &#xD;
importance of a marketing plan as a management guide to the archive. Marketing is &#xD;
approached as a management philosophy, which is compromised with the client. It is &#xD;
commented about how marketing could help the arquivist professional in improving his image &#xD;
before the community. In relation to the methodology, it is a descriptive research with &#xD;
qualitative approach. The search field is the archive central UFPB and the research subjects &#xD;
are the employees of its archive. Then, it was applied a questionnaire based on the SWOT &#xD;
analysis con un archivista the archive central UFPB, responsable de las actividades de &#xD;
difusión, in order to identify the strengths and the weaknesses of the internal environment and &#xD;
the opportunities and the threats of the external environment. As a result, it is proposed a &#xD;
marketing plan to the archive central UFPB, as a guiding tool of marketing actions to be &#xD;
adopted by the information unit. It is concluded that the marketing applied to archive should &#xD;
make part of the annual strategic planning and it can bring advantageous benefits as the &#xD;
positive image, the offer of products and services more agreed and the maintenance, conquer &#xD;
and customer loyalty
