Abstract: Despite the legal backing that ensures the school library as an essential component of&#xD;
the educational process, its effective presence in educational institutions is not yet a&#xD;
consolidated reality. The problem lies in the gap between legislation and school&#xD;
practice, while the central issue is understanding to what extent legal guarantees have&#xD;
translated into real conditions for access to reading, information, and the formation of&#xD;
readers in the educational space from early childhood onwards. Therefore, this&#xD;
research investigates the existence of libraries and the role of librarians in the&#xD;
Municipal Early Childhood Education Centers of João Pessoa. It is characterized as&#xD;
exploratory and descriptive, with a qualitative approach, developed through&#xD;
bibliographic and documentary research in official sources, such as data from the&#xD;
Municipal Department of Education, legislation, institutional documents, and indirect&#xD;
observation. The results show that, although the municipality has a significant network&#xD;
of services for early childhood education, there is no information on the existence of&#xD;
structured libraries and the role of librarians in these units. The results confirm that&#xD;
there is a gap in the inclusion of libraries and librarians in early childhood education,&#xD;
indicating the need to strengthen public policies aimed at implementing these spaces&#xD;
and professional practice, in order to contribute to the formation of readers from the&#xD;
earliest years of life.

Abstract: Growing digitalisation and the search for technological innovations have transformed&#xD;
various sectors, with Artificial Intelligence (AI) emerging as a promising opportunity. This&#xD;
study proposes the implementation of a chatbot in the Reference Service of the Berilo&#xD;
Borba Sectorial Library, linked to the Centre for Applied Social Sciences at the Federal&#xD;
University of Paraíba (CCSA/UFPB). The research, which is exploratory and descriptive&#xD;
in nature, is based on the bibliographic method and uses a qualitative approach to data&#xD;
analysis, investigating the effectiveness of AI in modernising the Reference Service.&#xD;
The focus is on the development of a virtual assistant aimed at improving user support,&#xD;
offering quick answers to recurring queries and automating routine tasks, which&#xD;
enhances the efficiency of library services. The implementation proposal generated a&#xD;
diversified menu of options, promoting greater accessibility and speed in service. The&#xD;
results show that the system can reduce dependence on human service, allowing&#xD;
librarians to dedicate themselves to more complex activities. The conclusion is that the&#xD;
automation of reference services in this library can provide a continuous, personalised&#xD;
and accessible service via WhatsApp.

Abstract: Research carried out in areas of knowledge is of paramount importance for up-to-date&#xD;
contributions on their respective subjects, generating a range of knowledge that serves&#xD;
as a scientific basis. It aims to analyze the thematic trends in the final works of the&#xD;
undergraduate course in Librarianship at the Federal University of Paraíba between&#xD;
the years 2017 and 2021. Methodologically, it is a descriptive, quantitative and&#xD;
qualitative research, of an applied nature and of the documentary type. It adopts the&#xD;
institutional repository of the UFPB as a source of data collection and is anchored in&#xD;
the quantitative and qualitative approach for data analysis. In the results, 115 works&#xD;
from the UFPB institutional repository corresponding to the period from 2017 to 2021&#xD;
were identified; the guiding teachers and the most incident themes that outside:&#xD;
encouraging reading, school library, user study, marketing in libraries, information and&#xD;
knowledge management, cultural action, bibliotherapy and memory preservation. It&#xD;
concludes from the findings the areas in which students show more interest in&#xD;
research, also suggesting actions that can encourage such students to write in other&#xD;
areas that are little explored.

Abstract: The Information and Communication Technologies are fundamental instruments in the&#xD;
process of conducting scientific research by allowing sharing products and services&#xD;
among different virtual spaces. This research aims to identify on the pages of the UFPB&#xD;
Central Library and the Information Technology Laboratory (LTi) the possibility of&#xD;
sharing their virtual informational resources. The methodological procedures were&#xD;
based on a bibliographic survey in several sources of information, especially in the&#xD;
virtual mode. The research environment was constituted of the electronic page of the&#xD;
Central Library, unit of the UFPB's Library System (SISTEMOTECA) and of the LTi&#xD;
Portal, digital interface of the Intellectual Technologies Laboratory Project. This&#xD;
investigation is configured as a case study of the descriptive research type, with a&#xD;
qualitative approach. The data collection was carried out in a totally virtual environment&#xD;
from the electronic pages of the researched institutions. As a result, it was found that&#xD;
the Central Library site does not include a link to LTi. While LTi makes available the&#xD;
Central Library site, although it is difficult to locate it. Given the facts identified, this&#xD;
research recommends the sharing and partnership between the visibility of the sites in&#xD;
both informational spaces.
