Abstract: The study of Ordinary Differential Equations is extremely important for various fields,&#xD;
such as Physics and Engineering. However, there are some Ordinary Differential Equations&#xD;
(ODEs) for which the most well-known methods are not effective, making it necessary to&#xD;
explore knowledge tools for an alternative approach. One of the tools that can be used is&#xD;
solving through Power Series, which allows representing the solution of the ODE in the&#xD;
form of Series around a specific point. In this context, we sought to investigate how the&#xD;
power series method can be applied in solving second-order ODEs with variable coefficients.&#xD;
To prove its functionality, the method was applied to two very important ODEs in the field&#xD;
of mathematics, the Airy equation and the Legendre equation. As this study is related to&#xD;
ODEs, it falls within the field of pure mathematics, specifically in the subfield of analysis.

Abstract: This study investigated the importance of reflective practice in the Mathematics Teaching&#xD;
Laboratory for the initial training of teachers. Based on a qualitative, exploratory, and&#xD;
bibliographic approach, the methodological procedures involved literature review, classroom&#xD;
observation, and activity analysis. The results emphasized the relevance of reflective practice&#xD;
in promoting the development of pedagogical skills and preparing future educators to face&#xD;
educational challenges. The initial teacher training should integrate theory and practice,&#xD;
fostering critical and collaborative reflection for more meaningful and inclusive teaching. The&#xD;
research was conducted at Campus IV of the Federal University of Paraíba, with the&#xD;
participation of Mathematics undergraduates, highlighting the importance of reflection in&#xD;
problem-solving and the interaction between theory and practice. The findings contribute to&#xD;
the improvement of pedagogical approaches in the context of the Mathematics Teaching&#xD;
Laboratory and to the formation of more reflective and effective teachers.

Abstract: The main goal of this work is to carry out a bibliographic and theoretical study on&#xD;
two approximation methods in real analisys: Taylor's formula and Newton's method.&#xD;
Initially, we present a brief historical review of the development of Calculus/Analysis and&#xD;
the emergence of our objects of study. Essential concepts and necessary results for the&#xD;
development of the work will be stated and the approximation techniques will be presented&#xD;
in a slightly more detailed way, together with one or more applications.

Abstract: This Course Conclusion Paper presents research that aims to explore the pedagogical use of the&#xD;
Picnic Game to approach Financial Education in the 9th year of Elementary School. It&#xD;
references several authors, including Eker (2005); Sousa, Vaz and Pimentel (2018), Santos and&#xD;
Araújo (2021), Rocha (2022), Brasil (2018), among others. In relation to methodological&#xD;
procedures, the research is classified as qualitative and exploratory, aiming to answer the&#xD;
question about the pedagogical impacts of using the Picnic Game in learning Financial&#xD;
Education in the 9th year of Elementary School. Regarding data collection, the research is&#xD;
characterized as a case study, as it allowed a deeper and more detailed study of Financial&#xD;
Education knowledge through a proposed teaching sequence for students in the 9th year of&#xD;
Elementary School. With the development of the sequence in the classroom, analysis of the&#xD;
research data showed that this contextualized methodology promotes a more meaningful&#xD;
interaction between students, favoring the development of critical thinking, mathematical&#xD;
knowledge such as percentages and decision making in the context of Financial Education. This&#xD;
research allows the exploration of other Mathematics themes and the search for strategies that&#xD;
result in more meaningful learning, in which students feel truly motivated to learn in a practical&#xD;
and contextualized way.
