Abstract: This study aims to analyze the factors that contribute to resistance to the adoption of&#xD;
new technologies within the Paraíba State Company for Research, Rural Extension, and Land&#xD;
Regularization (EMPAER), an organization that provides technical assistance, land&#xD;
regularization, and research services throughout the state of Paraíba. It seeks to understand the&#xD;
challenges involved in the process of institutional modernization.&#xD;
The research is characterized as descriptive, with a quantitative approach, conducted&#xD;
through a data collection survey using a structured questionnaire applied to the institution’s&#xD;
employees. The theoretical framework is based on discussions of technological innovation,&#xD;
resistance to change, and the diffusion of innovation, drawing on authors such as Rogers&#xD;
(2003) and Lewin (1951), as well as reflections on modernization in the public sector.&#xD;
The results indicate that, although participants recognize the relevance of new&#xD;
technologies for improving work performance and service delivery, there are still significant&#xD;
barriers related to insufficient training, difficulties in adaptation, structural limitations, and the&#xD;
persistence of traditionally bureaucratic organizational practices. It was also observed that the&#xD;
acceptance of technological innovations is directly associated with the institutional support&#xD;
provided to employees during the change process.&#xD;
It is concluded that the effectiveness of technological modernization in EMPAER&#xD;
depends not only on the implementation of tools and systems, but also on continuous training,&#xD;
support, and encouragement for adaptation, fostering an organizational culture that is more&#xD;
open to innovation.

Abstract: Social media networks have integrated the reality of the new generation since birth. Known&#xD;
as Generation Z composed of individuals born, on average, between the second half of the&#xD;
1990s and 2010 they are frequently classified as digital natives, and this presence is equally&#xD;
expressive within the academic environment. In a scenario where digital media is in constant&#xD;
expansion, social networks directly impact young people in their interpersonal and academic&#xD;
relationships, as well as their reading habits, acting sometimes as an incentive and other&#xD;
9&#xD;
times as a source of distraction. Given this reality, the present study aimed to analyze the&#xD;
impact of social media on the reading habits of university students at UFPB Campus III. The&#xD;
research followed a qualitative and descriptive approach; for data collection and analysis, 12&#xD;
undergraduate students from the Business Administration and Pedagogy programs were&#xD;
interviewed. The results revealed an ambiguity in the influence of social media on reading&#xD;
habits: while they promote quick access to diverse information and content, they also reduce&#xD;
the time dedicated to deep reading and cause concentration deficits due to excessive use.&#xD;
Therefore, there is a clear need to promote integration strategies between faculty and&#xD;
students, aiming to maximize digital benefits, strengthen literary engagement, and mitigate&#xD;
challenges. Among the obstacles faced by students in the academic environment are&#xD;
cognitive load (attention fragmentation), "skimming" (surface reading), infoxication&#xD;
(information overload), technological procrastination, and a decline in writing and spelling&#xD;
skills.

Abstract: Administration is an essential field of knowledge for the development of organizations&#xD;
and contemporary societies. In this context, this study aims to analyze how the historical&#xD;
evolution of administrative theories contributed to the consolidation of Administration as&#xD;
a fundamental area for social, economic, and organizational development. This is a&#xD;
qualitative, descriptive, and exploratory study conducted through a bibliographic review.&#xD;
Data collection was based on books and scientific articles selected according to relevance&#xD;
and timeliness criteria. Data analysis was carried out using content analysis techniques,&#xD;
allowing the identification of categories related to the evolution of administrative theories&#xD;
and their impacts. The results show that Administration evolved from a mechanistic&#xD;
approach, focused on efficiency and work rationalization, to a broader perspective that&#xD;
incorporates human, social, and strategic factors. Furthermore, it was found that different&#xD;
administrative theories, although developed in distinct contexts, are complementary and&#xD;
contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of organizations. It is concluded that&#xD;
Administration plays a fundamental role in societal development, being a dynamic and&#xD;
constantly evolving field capable of responding to contemporary challenges.

Abstract: Digital transformation has reshaped organizational practices, requiring future administrators&#xD;
not only technical proficiency but also strategic competencies to operate in digital&#xD;
communication. In this context, this study aimed to evaluate the technological readiness and&#xD;
digital competencies of Administration students at the Federal University of Paraíba, Campus&#xD;
III – Bananeiras. The research adopted a mixed-method approach, combining documentary&#xD;
analysis of the curriculum, application of structured questionnaires to 73 students and 7&#xD;
professors, and a structured interview with a professional active in the social media field. The&#xD;
results indicate that students demonstrate favorable technological readiness, characterized by&#xD;
optimism and operational familiarity with digital technologies. However, they reveal&#xD;
significant gaps in strategic competencies, such as interpreting metrics, configuring paid&#xD;
media campaigns, and developing editorial planning aligned with organizational objectives.&#xD;
The curriculum analysis showed that, although the program provides a solid theoretical&#xD;
foundation in classical Administration areas, content related to digital marketing and social&#xD;
media management is addressed in an incipient manner, representing less than 3% of the total&#xD;
course load. Faculty members acknowledge the strategic importance of the social media role&#xD;
but hold divergent views regarding the alignment between the education provided and market&#xD;
demands. The interviewed professional highlighted creativity, strategic thinking, and technical&#xD;
mastery of platforms as essential competencies, illustrating that academic education, while&#xD;
offering a conceptual foundation, does not fully prepare graduates for the challenges of digital&#xD;
communication. Therefore, it is observed that Administration education, although robust in its&#xD;
traditional foundations, needs to incorporate the digital competencies demanded by the&#xD;
contemporary market in a more organic and practical manner, particularly concerning&#xD;
strategic social media management. Curriculum revision, strengthening of applied extension&#xD;
projects, and the creation of spaces for practical experimentation are suggested as pathways to&#xD;
reduce the gap between academia and the market.
