Abstract: This paper aims to analyze the importance of including financial education in basic
education, highlighting its contribution to the formation of conscious, autonomous and
responsible citizens. Through bibliographic and documentary research, it was observed that
financial education, when approached in an interdisciplinary and contextualized way,
contributes to the construction of healthy financial habits, personal planning and conscious
consumption. The National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) recognizes this need,
pointing out ways for its inclusion in the curriculum. It is concluded that financial
education is essential for the formation of citizenship and should be encouraged from the
early years of schooling.

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the application of the concepts of Arithmetic Progression
(AP) and Geometric Progression (GP) in the teaching of simple interest, compound
interest and amortization systems in high school, using a theoretical-practical approach
aligned with the guidelines of the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC).
Considering the relevance of Financial Education in the formation of critical and
conscious citizens, the study adopts a methodology based on bibliographic research
highlighting the speech of authors such as Skovsmose (2001), Dante (2009) and Silva
and Powell (2013), among others. A qualitative approach was also carried out with the
application of questionnaires to students in the 3rd year of high school, aiming to
identify the students' financial concepts and habits. The results indicate that, although
many students present immediate behaviors in relation to consumption, there are signs
of understanding about how investments and purchasing strategies work. The
research highlights the importance of making the teaching of Financial Mathematics
more contextualized, using practical examples, educational games and everyday
situations. Arithmetic and geometric progressions have proven effective in illustrating
the concepts of linear and exponential growth applied to interest and amortization. It is
concluded that the integrated teaching of these contents favors the development of
mathematical reasoning and financial autonomy of students, contributing to a more
meaningful mathematical education focused on citizenship.

Abstract: Financial Education associated with the teaching of Mathematics presents the need to address
this issue in schools, and aims to allow an increase in knowledge and development of the
students participating in the Project. We know that, according to the Common National
Curriculum Framework, mathematical knowledge contributes to Financial Education and
planning for the future, both of which are part of our civic education. The Project makes use
of technology and communication networks, something that is increasingly present in the field
of teaching and study in schools. The lessons were made available on a YouTube channel,
"Finanças à Parte", and contact with the students was made through a WhatsApp group, a chat
application widely used by students, as well as forms created through GoogleForms and the
Google Classroom platform. There was a first face-to-face contact to present the Project and
apply a questionnaire, even before the start of the classes made available, with the aim of
reapplying it after the end of the access period and, from there, building this work. With this,
we will be able to reach more significant conclusions about the importance of having
financially educated citizens, even before they have available resources, especially when
considering the young people who attend public schools in Brazil.

Abstract: The aim of this work is to improve and awaken interest in the mathematics component, since it
is still feared by many students today. This research was carried out using games in the
classroom, such as Cryptogram of Numbers, Math Stop and Fraction Dominoes. Based on the
application of these games, an analysis was made of the students' acceptance and involvement
with the subject, in the 6th grade A, B and C classes on the morning shift, which demonstrated
the enrichment of logical reasoning, visual perception, agility in mental calculation and, above
all, the strengthening of the class bond, consequently pointing to a reduction in the number of
unjustified absences, due to the fact that it makes classes more dynamic and participatory. Thus,
the results of the research show that the students' concentration in the classroom has improved,
as well as their self-esteem, dispelling the stigma that this subject is difficult because they have
been able to see themselves as capable of learning by performing mental calculations quickly
and participating effectively in lessons and in the construction of their learning.
