Abstract: This paper analyzes the legal landscape of socio-affective parentage between grandparents and grandchildren, highlighting the role of affection as a social and legal element in the recognition of family bonds. The analysis begins with the metaphor present in Zé Ramalho's song Avôhai, which symbolizes the depth of the intergenerational bond and the value of time in consolidating affection, thereby contributing to a more humanistic and expanded understanding of Family Law. The study also examines the constitutional principles of human dignity, equality, and the best interests of the child and adolescent. This allows for a reinterpretation of Article 1.593 of the Brazilian Civil Code, which acknowledges that parentage may originate from bonds other than biological ones. Within this framework, contemporary case law from the Federal Supreme Court (STF) and the Superior Court of Justice (STJ) is explored to demonstrate the recognition of multiparentality and the distinction between adoption and socio-affective parentage, emphasizing that the latter permits the legitimate coexistence of multiple parental ties. The practical effects of recognizing socio-affective parentage between grandparents and grandchildren are discussed, including amendments to civil registration, succession and alimony rights, as well as evidentiary challenges and the social issues involved. The paper concludes that the legal formalization of these bonds represents an advancement in protecting the dignity of individuals and in adapting family law to social reality. It consolidates the centrality of cohabitation and affective ties in shaping parentage over time, thereby materializing the right to identity and the pursuit of happiness.

Abstract: The humanitarian policies for combating human trafficking for sexual exploitation, from a human rights perspective, are the object of critical analysis in this study. In this vein, the study begins with the historical and normative contextualization of trafficking, highlighting it as a grave violation of human dignity and fundamental freedoms, and proceeds with the examination of international frameworks, with special attention to the Palermo Protocol, and its internalization into Brazilian legal system, notably by Law nº 13.344/2016 and the National Plans for Combating Human Trafficking. This is a qualitative research, with a dialectical method, based on extensive bibliographic and documentary research, which demonstrates that, despite a dense codification, humanitarian measures frequently reveal contradictions and limits in their practical application, subordinated to migratory control and securitization interests. This dynamic generates the paradox of protection, characterized by institutional revictimization and the selectivity of state interventions, which end up reproducing structural inequalities based on gender, race, and class markers. Furthermore, the analysis reveals that the construction of an "ideal victim" and the predominance of punitive logics, such as the so-called carceral feminism, restrict the effectiveness of protective measures, marginalizing social groups in greater vulnerability. Therefore, it is concluded that an intersectional and victim-centered approach can, in fact, address the structural roots of human trafficking for sexual exploitation and ensure the full protection of human rights.

Abstract: Access to medicinal treatments based on Cannabis Sativa in Brazil presents a paradoxical scenario. While judicialization has been consolidated as the primary means of enforcing the fundamental right to health, the lack of a clear public policy, combined with the controversial distinction created by ANVISA (the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency) between "Medicine" and "Cannabis Product," subjects patients to a state of complete legal uncertaintyBased on a qualitative, bibliographic, and documentary analysis, this study investigates the decisive impact of this regulatory classification within the courts. It demonstrates how this distinction determines the burden of proof and the applicable "general repercussion" thesis (tese de repercussão geral), thereby explaining the disparity in rulings for analogous clinical situations. Furthermore, the paper highlights an evidentiary gap between the medical prescription—which is based on clinical evidence and the patient's specific conditions—and the opinions issued by the Judiciary's Technical Support Centers (NATJUS), which often disregard these specificities It is concluded that overcoming this conceptual and procedural impasse requires the establishment of a unified regulatory framework and the implementation of consistent public policies.

Abstract: The phenomenon of “uberization” has consolidated a new class of workers, mainly composed of app-based drivers and delivery couriers. Although companies portray them as autonomous, under a supposed contractual freedom, reality reveals a scenario of social vulnerability and exclusion from historically acquired labor rights.
Far from representing genuine autonomy, this form of labor organization reflects an asymmetrical power relationship, marked by digital management of work and the economic dependence of workers on the platforms. In this context, the present study analyzes algorithmic subordination as a defining element of these relationships, showing how control through ratings, routing, pricing, and unilateral suspensions places drivers in a position of weakness, approximating them to the condition of subordinated employees. The study demonstrates that the current model not only weakens labor protection but also challenges the existing legal framework and the constitutional principles of work valorization, human dignity, and social justice, highlighting the need to rethink the future of Labor Law in the face of technological transformations.
