Abstract: This research addresses Information Management (IM) as a tool for enhancing organizational
sustainability. The study is contextualized within the constant need for organizations to adopt
sustainable stances based on the Triple Bottom Line (environmental, social, and economic).
The objective of this work was to identify the extent to which information management is used
as a tool to enhance sustainability, as perceived by the managers of the Sicredi branches in
Mamanguape and João Pessoa. The methodology consisted of exploratory and descriptive field
research with a quantitative approach. Data collection was conducted through a structured
questionnaire based on Choo's (2003) information management model, applied to the managers
of the aforementioned units, resulting in 16 respondents from a total of 24 managers. The results
indicate a positive and consistent perception of IM as a catalyst for sustainability, with actions
outlined based on structured information. Regarding the association with the Triple Bottom
Line, it was observed that in the environmental pillar, managers demonstrated greater clarity in
identifying indicators aimed at the planet's balance; in the social pillar, information is perceived
as support for socially just actions, although with a lower average clarity compared to the
environmental pillar; in the economic pillar, the lowest level of consensus was identified,
suggesting that financial viability linked to sustainability still lacks metric systematization in
daily management. However, gaps were identified in the definition of economic indicators, the
existence of specific databases, and the definition of teams capable of managing this
information. It is concluded that, although IM effectively supports strategic planning and senior
management, there is still a need to better integrate this information at the operational level and
expand internal communication regarding the management resources used. This research
addresses Information Management (IM) as a tool for enhancing organizational sustainability.

Abstract: Considering contemporary society, which needs to adapt to emerging technologies, this study
analyzes the challenges and opportunities related to the insertion of digital technologies and
Artificial Intelligence in healthcare administrative management, focusing on professionals’
adaptation to these transformations. This is a qualitative and descriptive study developed
through a systematic literature review in scientific databases such as SciELO, the Virtual Health
Library (VHL), and the CAPES Periodicals Portal, considering publications between 2016 and
2025. The analysis of the selected studies shows that digital transformation has contributed to
improving operational efficiency, optimizing administrative processes, and supporting
decision-making in healthcare institutions. However, it also reveals challenges related to
professional training, structural limitations, and workers’ adaptation to new technologies. It is
concluded that the adoption of these tools, when accompanied by professional qualification
strategies and organizational support, can contribute to improvements in management, working
conditions, and the quality of healthcare services.

Sustentabilidade nas IES: o desempenho das instituições brasileiras

Abstract: Concern for socio-environmental impacts has driven the adoption of sustainable practices in
Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). In this context, studies highlight the relevance of
universities in promoting sustainable development; however, there is still a need to expand
updated analyses on the positioning of Brazilian universities in sustainability rankings.
Therefore, the general objective of this study is to analyze the performance of Brazilian
universities in the UI GreenMetric. To this end, the theoretical framework is based on
discussions regarding organizational sustainability, sustainability in HEIs, and assessment
metrics for university sustainability. Methodologically, this is an applied research with a
mixed-method approach, exploratory-descriptive objectives, and a documentary procedure,
based on secondary data from 60 Brazilian HEIs evaluated in the 2025 edition of the ranking.
The results revealed a predominance of public institutions and a concentration in the South,
Southeast, and Midwest regions. It is noteworthy that, although Brazil has universities among
the top 100 in the world, such as USP in 5th place, there is a regional asymmetry, with low
representation from the North and Northeast regions. Thus, the findings broaden the
understanding of sustainability in Brazilian higher education by systematizing HEI data in the
UI GreenMetric in an unprecedented and integrated way, revealing patterns and differences
between categories. As a theoretical contribution, the study helps fill gaps in the literature
regarding the ranking, especially concerning the comparative analysis between Brazilian
universities, assessment by performance categories, and the identification of recurrence
patterns among institutions, in addition to providing insights for the development of future
research.

Abstract: This study addresses information management in a third-sector organization located in the
Mamanguape Valley, with the aim of analyzing how informational processes are developed
and their influence on the organization of institutional activities and decision-making. It is a
case study with a qualitative approach, conducted through semi-structured interviews with the
institution’s management team, with data analyzed using the content analysis technique. The
results indicate that information plays a relevant role in the organizational context,
contributing to the identification of the demands of the served population, as well as to the
planning and execution of institutional actions. However, limitations are observed regarding
the systematization of records and the use of technological tools, which restricts the potential
3
for organization and strategic use of information. It is also noted that existing informational
practices are still only partially structured. It is concluded that improving information
management, through the adoption of more structured systems and better organization of
records, is essential to strengthen informational processes, enhance support for
decision-making, and contribute to institutional development.
