Título: Jornalismo engajado e lutas populares : enquadramentos do movimento por moradia nos jornais Brasil de Fato PB e Portal G1 Paraíba durante a pandemia de Covid-19 Autor(es): Siqueira, Aparecida Alves de Orientador: Meireles, Norma Abstract: Daily, traditional media tends to neglect the relevance of social movements, prioritizing market- driven and power-oriented projects. In contrast, alternative media provides a platform for peripheral movements and subjects, emphasizing citizenship as a mechanism for emancipation and social justice, while also supporting the struggle for the conquest of rights. In the early hours of November 23, 2021, the homeless community of Dubai, in João Pessoa, was the target of an irregular and ostentatious eviction. Approximately 600 military police officers, mobilized by the Municipal Government, removed around 400 families without prior notice, violating a Supreme Federal Court injunction that prohibited evictions during the Covid-19 pandemic. In this qualitative case study, we analyzed reports from two local portals on the topic, using the Framing Methodology (Entman, 1993). We adopted the Protest Paradigm and Content Analysis as the theoretical and methodological basis to examine the positioning of the media in relation to the events. The theoretical foundation includes works by Marcondes Filho (2002), Charaudeau (2009), Park (2003), Scheufele (1999), Eagleton (1997), Porto (2001), Campos (2014), Soares (2009), Tuchman (1978), Traquina (2005), Thompson (1998), and Genro Filho (2023). The research objects are the online versions of the portals Jornal Brasil de Fato PB and G1 Paraíba, with a universe of two in the four-month period following the event, focusing on eight articles: four texts from Brasil de Fato PB and four articles from G1 Paraíba, observing their developments and, primarily, the news framing. The objective was to analyze the coverage patterns of the newspapers - hegemonic and alternative - in the face of state actions and the reaction of the social movement for housing, seeking to understand how each outlet articulated the issues related to the protagonists of the Dubai eviction. The parallels of meaning between the two outlets were the central focus of the research. As a result of the analysis, the sample brought up the discussion about: how journalistic framing can shape public perception, reinforcing official narratives and stigmatizing vulnerable populations; the lack of source plurality, the implicit criminalization of residents, and the omission of the structural causes of the occupation contributed to a narrative that may legitimize state repression and perpetuate social exclusion. Título: Livro-reportagem: Campeonato brasileiro de 1987 – conflitos e tensões jornalísticas em relação à exclusividade do título do Sport Club do Recife Autor(es): Costa Filho, Francisco de Assis Orientador: Nunes Filho, Pedro Abstract: Brazil’s 1987 Championship is considered one of the most controversial championships in the history of national football. The dispute stretched beyond the soccer field, and the legal confrontation between Sport Club do Recife and Clube de Regatas do Flamengo lasted until April 18, 2017, when the Federal Supreme Court decided to ratify the exclusivity of the title to the club from Pernambuco. Sport Club’s conquest was legally supported, and it counted on the seal of the Brazilian Football Confederation, but it had never got the recognition of the so-called ‘great press’. The choice of research subject was justified by the historical relevance and the topicality of the object, besides the scarcity of academic studies related to it on the journalistic field. The work aimed at analyzing the performance of some journalistic segments in relation to the coverage of that sporting event through the process discussion on the media monopolization and its resonances, evidencing marks of partiality and news manipulation. The theoretical foundation was based on the concepts of journalism, media manipulation, sports journalism, non-fiction book, legal aspects, ethics in journalism, and interview techniques. The methodology employed in this analysis includes in- depth interviews applied to lawyers, club leaders, historians, journalists, jurists, teachers, and soccer fans, as well as textual analysis on books, and newspapers such as Folha de S Paulo, Jornal do Brasil, O Estado de S Paulo and O Globo. The analysis was extended to the National Sports Magazine Placar and to the GloboEsporte.com site. As a final product of this academic work, it was developed a non-fiction book entitled Brasileirão 87: the great press disowns Sport’s title, that highlights some facts raised through rigorous research on the subject, which a considerable part of the journalistic segments was – and still is – keen to keep it out of reach of the public at large. Título: Avaliação da acessibilidade estética de imagens fotojornalísticas Autor(es): Wanderley Neto, João Pedrosa Orientador: Sousa, Joana Belarmino de Abstract: Based on the understanding that access to information has contributed to guaranteeing citizens' rights, this research seeks to reinforce the need to enable people with visual impairments to access the denotative and connotative meanings present in photojournalistic images published on journalistic platforms. In this sense, it was verified the textual forms (alternative texts, subtitles, titles, subtitles and body of the matter) that accompany the photojournalistic images, contemplate the understanding of the aesthetic aspects of the respective photographs. To this end, the study started with a semiotic analysis of the photographs in the light of Barthesian concepts of denotation and connotation, as well as the processes of connotation (trick, pose, objects, syntax, aestheticism, photogenics) to then carry out an analysis of content, according to Bardin (2011), of the textual elements of the articles in order to identify absences, presences, convergences and divergences in relation to the meanings obtained in the analysis of the images. Título: Os não-lugares e a emergência do jornalista flexitempo nas produções em telejornalismo Autor(es): Oliveira Junior, André Luis Barbosa de Orientador: Siqueira, Fabiana Cardoso de Abstract: Scientific research and practical professional experiences highlight a reconfiguration of journalistic newsrooms. Thus, it has become inevitable to understand other aspects of these changes, especially regarding production routines in their various functions. Based on this premise, this research focuses on examining the changes that have occurred in the professional practice of journalists working on the JPB2 television news program, from TV Paraíba, an affiliate of Rede Globo, in Campina Grande, Paraíba. From the perspective of the flexitempo professional (Sennett, 2009), also referred to as the flexitempo journalist (Oliveira et al., 2021), the research is also based on concepts that highlight post-industrial capitalism and the expansion of the use of industrial machinery to produce news, such as digital technologies. With the digitization of the sector, new means of production have opened the door to the emergence of new journalistic work profiles, in which this professional gains prominence due to the accumulation of increasingly flexible functions and in non-places (Augé, 1994). Through a qualitative methodology using semi-structured interviews (Duarte; Barros, 2015), eight television journalists involved in the news production process were interviewed, and from their accounts, it was possible to elucidate each one's flexible routine.
