Abstract: Orthorexia can be defined as a new eating disorder, characterized by an obsession for healthy eating. It is not yet classified as an Official Eating Disorder, as it does not (yet) have diagnostic criteria established and defined by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM). Several studies indicate that a large number of nutrition students have at risk behaviors for the development of orthorexia. Thus, the objective of the present study was to identify the prevalence of risk behavior for orthorexia in Nutrition students of the Federal University of Paraíba. The study was descriptive and transversal, participating in the research Nutrition students 18 years of age or older. Three instruments were applied, with the first questionnaire aimed at obtaining information on age, height and weight (BMI calculated by the researchers), and the period of the course, as well as a specific question about the reason for choosing the Nutrition course. The second was used to identify body image disorder, according to the scale of silhouettes. The third was used to verify the risk behavior for the development of orthorexia nervosa (Orto-15). 83 students with a mean of 21.09 years participated in the study, 81.9% female. Among the subjects evaluated, 71.1% were in the eutrophic range according to the BMI classification. Regarding the perception of the body image, it was verified that 53% of the students presented body image disorder. As to orthorexia, it was observed that 57.8% of the students presented a risk behavior of orthorexia. Therefore, it was concluded that a representative number of students in the course of nutrition presents the risk of developing orthorexia.

Abstract: Sarcopenia is characterized by a decrease in lean body mass and strength. Creatine supplementation plans have been studied for muscle gain and improved quality of life. This study aimed to evaluate the use of creatine as a supplement combined with physical exercise through resistance training in sarcopenia in the elderly through a literature review. Articles published in the last 15 years were selected, with searches on the Pubmed, Scielo, Google Scholar and Capes Periodicals platforms, using the keywords: Creatine; Sarcopenia; Creatine and Sarcopenia; Creatine and aging; Sarcopenia and Supplementation; Creatine and health of the elderly. The main findings showed that the use of creatine in combination with resistance training increased strength and power during exercise and increased muscle mass, in addition to increasing body mass index and basal metabolic rate in the group of elderly people who received the supplement. In addition, the use of different creatine dosage practices was ensured. It was concluded that the use of creatine had a positive effect in the treatment of sarcopenia in the elderly when associated with resistance training.

    <title>Estado nutricional de minorias sexuais no Brasil: pesquisa nacional de saúde 2019</title>

Abstract: Sexual minorities, such as lesbians, gays, and bisexuals, are historically more likely to have poorer health and quality of life due to exposure to prejudice and discrimination. The stress experienced by sexual minorities can directly impact biological functions and behaviors, contributing to the development of noncommunicable diseases and conditions, such as obesity. For this reason, this study aimed to analyze the nutritional status of the Brazilian population based on gender and sexual orientation disparities. To develop the study, microdata from the 2019 National Health Survey were used, considering socioeconomic, demographic, and anthropometric variables to estimate the prevalence (%) and 95% confidence intervals of the sociodemographic profile and nutritional status according to gender and sexual orientation. For this, information from modules A (household), C (general characteristics of residents), D (education characteristics of residents), F (household income), P (lifestyles), and W (anthropometry) was used. The results indicated a percentage of overweight among bisexual women of 26.25% (95% CI 18.67 - 33.83) and homosexuals of 35.30% (95% CI 27.11 - 43.48). Among bisexual and homosexual men, the results of nutritional status were that homosexuals presented 41.21% (95% CI 34.71 - 47.71) of the sample as overweight and bisexuals 35% (95% CI 23.44 - 46.56). The results obtained in this research show a higher proportion of overweight among homosexual men and women. Therefore, these results highlight the need for public policies and strategies that promote the health of the LGB population, taking into account their particularities and vulnerabilities, with the aim of reducing inequalities and improving quality of life.

Abstract: The modern lifestyle has encouraged the search for practicality and lower cost in &#xD;
food. Considering the importance of nutrition for human health, the increase in the &#xD;
consumption of ultra-processed foods (UPF) has raised concerns, especially among &#xD;
high-risk pregnant women, who may have their health condition aggravated by an &#xD;
inadequate diet. This study, developed from the university extension project “Health &#xD;
Promotion for Pregnant and Postpartum Women Treated at HULW/UFPB”, aimed to &#xD;
analyze the relationship between education, family income and the consumption of &#xD;
UPF by high-risk pregnant women treated at the Women's Health Unit of the Lauro &#xD;
Wanderley University Hospital (HULW/UFPB), in João Pessoa - PB. This is a &#xD;
descriptive cross-sectional study, with sampling defined from sample calculation, &#xD;
involving 196 pregnant women aged between 13 and 46 years. Data were collected &#xD;
through face-to-face interviews, using a structured questionnaire applied with the &#xD;
help of the researcher, and analyzed using SPSS software (version 26) using &#xD;
descriptive statistics. The results showed that most pregnant women had completed &#xD;
high school, earned between 1 and 2 minimum wages, and were outside the age &#xD;
extremes associated with obstetric risk. Moderate consumption of UPF was &#xD;
observed. Higher consumption was observed among pregnant women with lower &#xD;
levels of education, while income did not show a clear pattern of association. These &#xD;
findings reinforce the influence of educational factors on food choices during &#xD;
pregnancy and point to the importance of deepening this relationship in future &#xD;
studies. In addition, they highlight the need for public policies aimed at nutritional &#xD;
education for pregnant women in vulnerable situations, with the aim of promoting &#xD;
healthier eating habits and reducing risks to maternal and child health.
