Abstract: The English language, nowadays, has acquired enormous importance in the world, as it is one of the main&#xD;
foreign languages most used by world society. In this sense, teachers and students face several difficulties&#xD;
in the process of teaching and learning the English language in elementary school, due to this problem, the&#xD;
study aimed to identify the main difficulties in learning English language teaching in elementary school.&#xD;
This is a literature review study carried out in October 2022 through the SciELO and Google Scholar&#xD;
libraries, based on previously established descriptors and eligibility criteria, based on the combination of&#xD;
descriptors, after applying the inclusion criteria and exclusion, elimination of repeated articles between the&#xD;
bases, title and abstract reading, a total of 05 articles were obtained for the composition of the study sample.&#xD;
After a thorough analysis of the sample, it was possible to identify factors that hinder the learning of the English language in elementary school, such as an inadequate environment, limited didactic material,&#xD;
teacher improvement, number of weekly classes, reading and text interpretation, and lack of motivation. It&#xD;
is concluded that there are still several barriers that interfere with the teaching of the English language and&#xD;
that identifying these barriers is essential to outline effective interventions that make it possible to transform&#xD;
this reality, improving the quality of teaching.

Abstract: We know that the use of Communication and Information Technologies (ICTs) in the&#xD;
educational field has grown every year, being used as a didactic resource. This article aims to&#xD;
analyze the role of Communication and Information Technologies (ICTs) in high school&#xD;
English language classes. For this, we base this work on the studies of Brasil (2008), Silva&#xD;
(2000), Valente (1999) e Faria, Pereira e Dias (2007), among others that deal with the&#xD;
theme addressed. This research, regarding its procedures, is an exploratory research, since it&#xD;
allowed a greater familiarity with the problem under study. Regarding its nature, the present&#xD;
investigation is a qualitative research. The research was carried out in a school located in&#xD;
Curimataú Paraibano, whose data collection instrument was the questionnaire answered by the&#xD;
high school English language teacher. From the answers given, it was possible to observe the&#xD;
main difficulties encountered in the English language classroom regarding the use of ICTs.&#xD;
Therefore, we developed a pedagogical proposal that can be applied in high school, using&#xD;
podcasts as a didactic resource, placing the student in the role of protagonist of their own&#xD;
knowledge.

Abstract: Social media have become fundamental for teaching and learning in the&#xD;
classroom, especially in English language classes. The use of media such as&#xD;
videos, audios, communication platforms and social networks has contributed to&#xD;
improving the teaching and learning process, enabling greater contact with&#xD;
English culture and integration between teachers and students. In this context,&#xD;
this study aims to identify the use of social media in English language classes as&#xD;
help to students' learning. The research, classified as descriptive and field, was&#xD;
carried out with high school students from a public school in the city of Santanade Mangueira. The results revealed that social media are present in English&#xD;
language classes, with social networks being used more frequently. However,&#xD;
although students have access to these media, not all of them identified the use&#xD;
of these resources in English language classes. The research also made it&#xD;
possible to identify that the research participants frequently access the internet&#xD;
and social media, which is a reality that should be explored in order to integrate&#xD;
the use of social media in all English language classes.

Abstract: This research aimed to discuss the use of digital educational resources in English&#xD;
language classes. The research is classified as exploratory, supported by a Systematic&#xD;
Literature Review, with a quantitative approach for data analysis. Articles published in&#xD;
the years 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022, in peer-reviewed journals and in Portuguese,&#xD;
extracted from the Portal de Periódicos CAPES were analyzed. The results revealed&#xD;
that digital educational resources can be used in English language classes from&#xD;
different perspectives, either through educational software and websites accessed&#xD;
through the computer, or through applications and games accessed through the&#xD;
smartphone. The research showed that the use of digital educational resources in&#xD;
English language classes has as its main contribution the improvement of students'&#xD;
learning, in addition to providing greater dynamism to classes.
