Abstract: The growth of the investment fund market has increased the need for efficient and reliable
operational processes capable of ensuring the quality of information provided to investors. In
this context, the portfolio validation process plays a fundamental role in verifying the
consistency of financial data before it is disclosed to the market. This study aims to analyze the
factors that influence the effectiveness of the portfolio validation process in a company that
provides fiduciary administration services for investment funds operating nationwide. The
research is characterized as a case study with a qualitative approach supported by descriptive
quantitative analyses. Initially, the portfolio validation process was mapped in order to identify
its main stages and the interactions between systems and organizational areas. Subsequently,
3,508 portfolios reprocessing requests were analyzed to identify the main operational failures
and evaluate their frequency and impact on the process. The results indicated that
inconsistencies related to asset provisions, asset pricing and transaction movements represent
the majority of the recorded occurrences, revealing critical points in the operational workflow.
Pareto analysis demonstrated that these categories concentrate most of the failures observed,
while the application of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) enabled the identification
of the most critical failure modes and the prioritization of improvement actions. The findings
indicate that the use of Production Engineering tools contributes to the identification of
operational risks and to the improvement of efficiency and reliability in portfolio validation
processes within financial organizations.

Abstract: This study analyzes the methodological fragmentation in the performance assessment of Sustainable Supply Chain Management (GSCM) and the need to integrate ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) dimensions. The objective was to overcome the limitation of standardization by proposing an analytical framework for ESG indicators based on the GSCM literature. The qualitative methodology consisted of a literature review (2015-2025), selecting 13 studies focusing on assessment, governance, and logistics innovations. The analysis demonstrated that the assessment requires a framework that combines circular economy and reverse logistics practices (E), SME engagement and decent work criteria (S), and a balance between contractual and relational governance (G). The proposed synthesis matrix articulates these findings. GSCM will only be consolidated through the adoption of integrated and comparable metrics, making sustainability a fundamental requirement for organizational competitiveness and resilience.

Abstract: This study addressed the costs of non-quality in the production and customer
service processes of a furniture company. The objective was to identify recurring
failures and their financial impacts, in order to propose solutions based on quality
management tools. The research was conducted through a case study, using a
qualitative and quantitative approach, including interviews, document analysis,
and internal company indicators. The results showed that the main costs of nonquality are related to errors in cutting, drilling, pre-assembly, and shipping,
causing rework, material waste, delivery delays, and returns. For the diagnosis
and proposal of improvements, quality tools such as the PDCA cycle, 5S, the
GUT Matrix, the Impact vs. Effort Matrix, and the 5W2H action plan were applied,
which demonstrated that strengthening preventive routines, standardizing
processes, and investing in training are essential to reduce waste and increase
customer satisfaction, reinforcing quality management as a strategic factor for
competitiveness in the furniture sector.

Cultura sustentável: Racionalidades de decisão para a sustentabilidade em projetos culturais

Título: Cultura sustentável: Racionalidades de decisão para a sustentabilidade em projetos culturais

Abstract: Given the current context of concern with sustainability, the relevance of cultural
projects is recognized as tools for raising awareness and denouncing social issues
that affect vulnerable populations. However, there is a need for studies on how
decisions are made in this type of project as a way to ensure its success in terms of
the expected social impact. In this regard, this study examines how sustainabilityoriented decision rationalities are expressed in the management of cultural projects.
The research is based on the premise that decision-making constitutes a critical action
within sustainable projects and recognizes culture, as a social practice, as a key driver
of sustainable development. Addressing the limited practical research on rationalities,
conceptualized here as Instrumental, Substantive, Communicative, and Limited, the
study involved 11 cultural professionals from four regions of Brazil and employed QMethodology. This approach analyzed participants’ profiles to identify rationality
patterns, assess the racionalities’ prevalence and construct two archetypes reflecting
these perspectives. The findings illustrate how social, economic, and environmental
concerns are expressed in cultural practice. The study contributes to a deeper
understanding of sustainable decision-making in the cultural sector and underscores
the importance of integrating ethical values and collective participation in project
management.
