Abstract: This report of an internship experience in occupational therapy proposes to bring reflections
and appointments on the approach of the theme of work in a psychosocial care center, based on
the principles of Psychosocial Rehabilitation and the understanding of work as a tool that
promotes autonomy and belonging. It points out the absence of inclusion practices in and
through the work in that service, as well as the insufficiency of actions based on the
understanding of who the users are and what their demands and life projects are, which promote
improvement and/or acquisition skills and give users the opportunity to feel capable and
productive.

Título: “Bolo é melhor que sexo!”: uma revisão de literatura sobre assexualidade
Autor(es): Sousa, Melissa Noberto de; Monzeli, Gustavo Artur (Orientação)
Abstract: Asexuality is a topic that has become popular in the last decades, in international scientific
literature, and refers to a sexual orientation characterized by a lack of sexual attraction. This
article is a literature review carried out in six databases by searching the descriptor
“asexuality”. The objective of this review was to identify and analyze, in scientific literature,
studies written in Portuguese, which focused on asexuality, with the aim of discovering how
the topic has been described in the last twenty years and what have been the main theories
used. 48 works were found, but only nine were considered for analysis according to the
inclusion and exclusion criteria. All publications disclosed the history of asexuality, citing
important researchers and authors, demonstrating that this has been a topic of debate for many
decades. The existence of several theoretical lines and concepts about the topic was also
observed, especially the essentialist, cultural, social and political lines. Within this logic it is
possible to observe different narratives about asexuality, which depending on the use of the
different discourses have the power to naturalize or not, pathologize or not some phenomena.
At the end, it presents some experiences lived by the asexual community, which are also a
reflection of the discourses produced.

Abstract: Abstract: Introduction: Down's syndrome (T21) is caused by an extra copy of chromosome 21, with
wide variation in the characteristics and abilities of children, who always need help to improve their
development. Assessing performance using standardized instruments and understanding sensory
processing are essential for effective interventions and improving children's quality of life. Methods: An
exploratory and descriptive study investigating the sensory processing and occupational performance of
21 children with trisomy 21, aged between 7 and 35 months, at a university hospital. A socio-economic
questionnaire was used to characterize the sample and the standardized tests Sensory Profile II of the
Young Child and PEDI-CAT. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics in Excel tables. Results:
The sample presented the sensory processing pattern of observation and behavioral responses more than
the majority, showed no delays in occupational performance according to the test score, but in the analysis
of the item maps there was impairment in some areas. Discussion: The sensory pattern of the sample
has repercussions on behavioral responses, and consequently there may be impairments in occupational
performance, although many of the developmental delays are caused by characteristics of the syndrome
itself. Conclusion: The study did not establish a direct relationship between sensory processing and
occupational performance in T21 children.
