      <title>Avaliação da acessibilidade estética de imagens fotojornalísticas</title>

      <description>Título: Avaliação da acessibilidade estética de imagens fotojornalísticas

Abstract: Based on the understanding that access to information has contributed to guaranteeing&#xD;
citizens' rights, this research seeks to reinforce the need to enable people with visual&#xD;
impairments to access the denotative and connotative meanings present in photojournalistic&#xD;
images published on journalistic platforms. In this sense, it was verified the textual forms&#xD;
(alternative texts, subtitles, titles, subtitles and body of the matter) that accompany the&#xD;
photojournalistic images, contemplate the understanding of the aesthetic aspects of the&#xD;
respective photographs. To this end, the study started with a semiotic analysis of the&#xD;
photographs in the light of Barthesian concepts of denotation and connotation, as well as the&#xD;
processes of connotation (trick, pose, objects, syntax, aestheticism, photogenics) to then carry&#xD;
out an analysis of content, according to Bardin (2011), of the textual elements of the articles&#xD;
in order to identify absences, presences, convergences and divergences in relation to the&#xD;
meanings obtained in the analysis of the images.

Abstract: Scientific research and practical professional experiences highlight a reconfiguration of journalistic newsrooms. Thus, it has become inevitable to understand other aspects of these changes, especially regarding production routines in their various functions. Based on this premise, this research focuses on examining the changes that have occurred in the professional practice of journalists working on the JPB2 television news program, from TV Paraíba, an affiliate of Rede Globo, in Campina Grande, Paraíba. From the perspective of the flexitempo professional (Sennett, 2009), also referred to as the flexitempo journalist (Oliveira et al., 2021), the research is also based on concepts that highlight post-industrial capitalism and the expansion of the use of industrial machinery to produce news, such as digital technologies. With the digitization of the sector, new means of production have opened the door to the emergence of new journalistic work profiles, in which this professional gains prominence due to the accumulation of increasingly flexible functions and in non-places (Augé, 1994). Through a qualitative methodology using semi-structured interviews (Duarte; Barros, 2015), eight television journalists involved in the news production process were interviewed, and from their accounts, it was possible to elucidate each one's flexible routine. In addition, the interviews also enabled an understanding of how digital technologies are a crucial part of consolidating flexitempo work.

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the use of public data in the investigative series “Obras&#xD;
inacabadas”, aired by TV Cabo Branco, a Rede Globo affiliate in João Pessoa, Paraíba, on the&#xD;
JPB2 program between July 17 and 20, 2023. The research examines how the integration of&#xD;
these data into investigative journalism contributed to monitoring the allocation of public&#xD;
resources, promoting transparency, and amplifying the voices of local citizens. Additionally,&#xD;
it explores fundamental concepts such as data journalism, television journalism, and screen&#xD;
journalism, discussing the relevance of these approaches in constructing more impactful and&#xD;
accessible narratives. The analyzed series provided visibility to different regions of Paraíba,&#xD;
such as Brejo, Sertão, and Cariri, highlighting reports on unfinished public works and&#xD;
offering elements for holding those responsible for the delays accountable. The study adopts&#xD;
a qualitative and descriptive approach, based on content analysis of the reports and the&#xD;
cross-referencing of public data used in their construction. Data collection was carried out in&#xD;
multiple stages, including the manual transcription of the reports, ensuring a thorough&#xD;
organization of the investigative material. Additionally, semi-structured interviews were&#xD;
conducted with journalists Laerte Cerqueira and Beto Silva, who led the series, as well as&#xD;
Dani Fechine, coordinator of the Data Unit at Rede Paraíba de Comunicação, of which TV&#xD;
Cabo Branco is a part. The findings indicate that the use of public data in investigative&#xD;
journalism enhances the ability to monitor government actions and demand accountability,&#xD;
fostering a more informed debate on public resource management. The analysis also&#xD;
highlights the challenges journalists face in obtaining and interpreting these data,&#xD;
emphasizing the need for greater data literacy among professionals in the field. Furthermore,&#xD;
it underscores the importance of sustaining this type of journalistic coverage, demonstrating&#xD;
its potential impact on both society and public policies.

Abstract: The public world was consolidated since ancient Greek only with the participation of men, so&#xD;
politics has been configured throughout history as a predominantly male space. Similarly,&#xD;
journalism as a space for visibility and advertising has long been an activity restricted to&#xD;
women. In this sense, political journalism still keeps these exclusion marks strongly. This&#xD;
work shows the challenges faced by women working in political journalism in Paraíba and the&#xD;
ways in which daily professional practice takes place between permanence and rupture&#xD;
strategies. Through long open interviews, five professionals spoke about the prejudices faced&#xD;
in the newsrooms of Paraíba political journalism. The narratives were studied through content&#xD;
analysis. Reports of disrespect, sexual harassment, discrimination in the distribution of&#xD;
guidelines and sources, coming from colleagues, bosses, sources and even the receiving&#xD;
public were common and show the need and urgency of this debate in society and especially&#xD;
in newsrooms and universities.
