Incentivo à Leitura: o relacionamento das Bibliotecas Escolares Municipais de Bayeux e a Educação

Abstract

It emphasizes the elementary schools of the municipality of Bayeux and its actions aimed at enhancing reading skills as an instrument for the development of its students. After a historical course about reading and the library, the research was applied through a questionnaire composed of closed and open questions with two blocks of questions, the first to survey the profile of the subjects of the research and the second aiming to ascertain the importance of library for the dynamics of school learning; to know how the pedagogical actions are planned with the Library; and identify reading projects developed in the school and its library that seek to encourage reading, according to the specific objectives outlined. However, the key role of reading in the school environment, the multi-professional engagement required for reader maturation, and its intrinsic understanding of reading were discovered.
