A contribuição da organização da informação na responsabilidade social da Biblioteca da AMBEP

Abstract

Presents the posture of the organization of information done in the library collection of the Association of Popular Maintainers Beneficiaries of Petros (AMBEP). The objective this study is to analyze the social responsibility of the organizing of information in the library of AMBEP with users. Explains the objectives of the libraries of antiquity, with their different information media, which over time have been modified to better meet the objectives proposed by them. Indicates the posture of the libraries today, faced with constant, rapid changes in technology and fascinating and informational, to improve its contribution to the intellectual increase of society. Considers the value of information to society and as the library and the biblioteconomy has contributed to the development of techniques to promote access and use information. The views of library users of AMBEP about the organization done in its collection, and the result obtained by such users through this activity are reported. It is concluded through a methodology explanatory and bibliographic, as well as quantitative and qualitative approaches, the organization of information contributed directly to the social posture of the AMBEP library, through to faster access and practical to desired information, which provided increased self-esteem of users, the intellectual contributions, the desire for study and improvement in social life.
