Pescadores artesanais do Município de Rio Tinto - PB: tradição, conhecimento e organizações

Abstract

The present study portrays artisanal fishermen from Rio Tinto -B, in different localities of the municipality where there are organizations with official headquarters, namely: community association of fishermen and indigenous farmers of Jaraguá, association of artisanal fishermen of Rio Tinto and Fishermen's colony Antonio of Brito Z13 from Barra do Mamanguape, seeking to understand the role of each of these organizational entities towards their affiliates and their communities, understanding the importance of the organization. Seeking to understand the tradition of artisanal fishing in these axes where these associations are, the behavioral factor of the fishermen in the social contexts of these communities, where they are inserted the headquarters of which naturally has a greater flow of fishing activity in the region.
