Produção científica em cooperativas de créditos: um estudo no periódico da Capes

Abstract

Credit unions are extremely important for the growth and development of the country. The objective of this work is to identify the scientific production in the area of credit cooperatives. The research is defined as descriptive and quantitative in nature by analyzes of statistical data to describe the results based on already existing data. The method used to formulate the theoretical reference of the research is called as a bibliographical review, since it searches through the literature to identify the knowledge generated about credit cooperatives. The research found that, from the year 2004, the scientific production in the credit cooperative sector began to have prominence for researchers, that is, the need to understand concepts and their contributions to the global economy. Therefore, the look on the subject had significant growth, specifically after the year 2012. According to the results of this work, the main universities that produced knowledge were: the Federal University of Minas Gerais with 8 publications and the University of São Paulo with 6 publications. This research identified limitations in the Portal of Capes, which corroborated for possible interferences in the results, enhances the Periódicos Capes is prominent. It can be concluded that the scientific production in the area of cooperatives is still very incipient, needing to deepen the knowledge in this subject so important for the Brazilian economy.
