Práticas de leitura dos alunos do 9º ano da Escola Municipal Violeta Formiga

Abstract

Reports how important the school library in encouraging reading, combined with a good structure, a consistent collection to the needs of users, projects to encourage reading and the significant presence of the information professional to assist in the social risk and cultural growth of individuals inserted in society. Treat is a research whose objective is to analyze the reading practices of 9th grade Municipal Violeta Formiga School, theme chosen due to the science of risk reality experienced by these young people in their sociocultural context. The research has exploratory and descriptive, and of qualitative and quantitative approach. Includes bibliographical research to write a review of literature and field research, using a questionnaire with opening questions and closed. The results show the profile of the studied students, their reading practices and their use of the library. It is concluded that both the lack of investment in the library, as the lack of reading incentive projects and the essential absence of a professional information, hinder the practice and the interest of students' reading (as) studied in this research.
