Uma investigação sobre a trajetória dos alunos do curso de licenciatura em Ciências Sociais da UFPB

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the trajectories of students of the degree course in Social Sciences at UFPB. To this end, it seeks to understand the historical process of expansion and democratization of higher education, emphasizing the educational reforms that occurred during this process. It also analyzes how these policies influenced the expansion of UFPB and the creation, in this institution, of the degree course in Social Sciences that is constituted as a result of this expansion. This paper aimed to conduct a research of qualitative and quantitative approach. In this sense, semi-structured interviews were conducted that sought to understand the factors that constitute the trajectories of students of the undergraduate degree in Social Sciences. With the analysis of the answers, it was concluded that the factors that constitute the trajectories are related to the social origin and the student's economic situation, institutional questions and the curricular structure of the course.
