A intervenção humanitária na Líbia em 2011: um modelo a ser seguido?

Abstract

This work aims to address the intervention in Libya that occurred in March 2011 due to the confrontation between the rebel forces and the government forces of Muammar al Qhaddafi. This work therefore aims to study the documents that were approved by the Security Council and the military intervention led by NATO and possible inconsistencies between the documents and the intervention. Through the analysis of the approved documents and review of the bibliography produced around the theme. The results after the literature review and the documents of the intervention to Libya, stated that there was a noncompliance by NATO with the objectives of Resolution 1970 and 1973 of the Security Council, once NATO began to seek a change of regime in Libya during the intervention, which led to an extension of the armed conflict and, consequently, an increase in the number of civilian deaths.
