A UNIVERSIDADE E AS MULHERES NO SÉCULO XXI: AS DÁDIVAS TROCADAS

Abstract

This research comprises the placement of women in all fields of activity of society as a means of generating gender equality and autonomy. With this, it understands that there are new social roles assumed by the women of the 21st century to be studied. Therefore, this research has the general objective of observing the relationship between the University and this woman, enrolled in the undergraduate course in social sciences, between the years 2006 and 2016 through the bias of The Gift Theory by Marcel Mauss. In order to identify what the University offers to this woman; what this woman offers to the University; how exchanges occur during the dynamics of the relationship; and point out what the results of this exchange are for society. For this, interviews were conducted in the period of November 2019 and February 2020 with ten women aged between 51 and 72 years. As a result, among other issues, it was observed that the look (in the sense of understanding about something) of the woman at this age and the way she directs him, coordinates a good part of this studied exchange.
