TURISMO IDIOMÁTICO DE LÍNGUA PORTUGUESA: UM POTENCIAL A SER EXPLORADO EM JOÃO PESSOA

Abstract

Throughout history, the motivations for travel have changed due to various situations. In the course of these innovations, language tourism has emerged, an activity in which two concepts are united for mutual benefit. Despite its knowledge in several regions of the world, language tourism is rarely known in Brazil. Although similar services are offered by various organizations, its term is not widespread in the country. This paper intends to analyse the potential of language tourism in the city of João Pessoa. In addition, the attractive capacities of the country are analyzed through the cultural aspects and natural environments that are characteristic of the regions. In this way, the present research has a bibliographic nature, also using the survey data with the objective to evidence the studies in a precise way about the language tourism. As a general theme of this work, the capabilities of the city of João Pessoa for the development of this tourist activity are presented, besides highlighting the indications of offers of this activity in the region. Finally, an analysis of the professional graduated in LEA-NI is carried out, highlighting his areas of knowledge in reference to language tourism and its practices.
