O CONTEMPORÂNEO NA LITERATURA INFANTIL: TEMAS FRATURANTES NA INFÂNCIA

Abstract

The objective of this work is to analyze how topics considered difficult to work with children are approached by authors who write for this audience. For discussion and analysis of the presentation of fracturing themes, we selected the following works: A Precious Question from Pata (2009), whose central theme is death and the sensitivity of looking at the subject; Arage (2014), a work that demonstrates, through illustration, the dimension that the feeling of anger has; The boy who was afraid of making a mistake (2016), through which the feeling of fear is presented as a central element and how the protagonist child manages to live without him; Drufs (2016), in which we observe different family configurations; Leila (2019), who narrates sexual abuse through the humanization of animals, and Olívia has two daddies (2010), a work that reflects on a family consisting of a child and his two parents. The titles and themes chosen for analysis made us understand the process of building the book, whether through verbal text or illustration, in addition to the techniques used by the authors to bring the work closer to children. Thus, it was possible to observe the importance of fracturing themes in literature written for infants, after all, presenting these titles to children reinforces the importance of observing the little ones with a less simple and more reflective look, giving them the opportunity to grow with an understanding of the world in which they live, in addition to reaching their own reflection on their feelings regarding their experiences. For this, we take into account the studies by Coelho (1985), Azevedo and Barros (2019), Rodrigues (2019), in addition to other researchers.
