Os usos dos sites noticiosos para gerar uma divulgação científica massiva

Abstract

It aims to reflect about the transition of scientific information divulgation from traditional media to new digital media from the beginning of XXI century, thanks to the development of Information and Communication Technologies and the influence exerted of Internet on people. In this scheme, the News Web Sites offer a huge amount of information on the web for individuals, hence its importance in the "information society", as the issues of Science, Technology and Innovation, arouse special interest in the citizens to the opportunity to offer them to be well informed when making decisions in everyday life and allow them to participate in the development taking place around them. Therefore, the method used was a literature study from texts both of Information Science as Scientific Divulgation and Mass Media. It is concluded that the importance of divulgation through the News Web Sites is relevant because of the range they have on society, since they use the potential of the Internet to transmit information quickly and massively, thus promoting a culture of scientific literacy.
