Análise da execução de uma fachada em pele de vidro

Abstract

The first visible element in a building, the facades reflect the designer's personality and are very important not only aesthetically, but also in their function of sealing and safety for all who are part of the building. The external cladding of buildings is very varied, bringing beauty, contact with the surrounding environment, and providing sustainable characteristics to the building. For these reasons it is necessary to have a correct study about the cladding to be used, not only considering financial factors but also the whole context that each type of cladding brings to the building. The present work refers to a field research about the glass facade of a building in João Pessoa, Paraíba, where during the development of the work the execution of the glass facade was in progress. It was sought to understand the reasons that led to the choice of this covering and to understand the challenges and benefits of its execution. With the information from the bibliographical research, it was possible to apply the knowledge to the work in progress and to notice much of what was studied. During the monitoring of the construction with the execution of the glass skin, it was possible to notice the difficulties and challenges overcome for the execution of the service, such as the lack of plumb of the superstructure of the façade, project specificities that had to be overcome with a new structural solution and the need to maintain the cleanliness of the aluminum and glass pieces during the building's execution. We tried to describe the adopted solutions together with the knowledge acquired in the bibliographical study on the subject.
