UMA INVESTIGAÇÃO SOBRE O FENÔMENO HUMORÍSTICO DISCURSIVO ATRAVÉS DA AMBIGUIDADE: O MEME EM TEMPOS DE PANDEMIA DA COVID-19

Abstract

The covid-19 pandemic has completely transformed the world scenario and social life, leading people to a long period of isolation, responsible for establishing an even greater dependence on digital media for the maintenance of communication and activities. Thus, it was observed that, given the uncertainties about the future of Brazilian health, many sought to ease the tensions of the moment through the humorous discourse found in the meme. With this, the present work has the objective of analyzing ambiguity as one of the main semantic relationships found in these texts, serving as a basis for a chronological and critical construction of the analysis that will reveal the importance of the social role of this textual genre at the present time. For the analysis of our corpus, we selected five memes that bring situations of ambiguity and contexts focused on the pandemic. The theoretical foundation is constituted, above all, by the contributions of the theorists Bahktin and Marcuschi. After the analysis, we came to the conclusion that the meme fulfills a social role that goes beyond the relations of humor provoked by ambiguity.
