Ensino de ciências e as tecnologias sociais como instrumento pedagógico para o letramento científico na educação do campo

Abstract

The observation of spaces with the “science look” stimulates the perception that everything is related with some type of knowledge. Having the Popular Education and the Field Education to improve the students’ knowledge and strengthening of techniques and the Social Technologies (ST) that are already used distinctly on society, but that on the other hand, within the school, is still a new approach, we sought here in this work to promote the relation between the science teaching and the STs inside the rural school to potentialize the development of the scientific literacy aligned with the basis of the Common National Curricular Base (BNCC, in Portuguese), stimulating and contextualizing the scientific knowledge, as well as the critical sense of these students so they can be active in their communities and in society in general. This way, this work presents a proposal for the science teaching in the rural school from a popular educational approach with emphasis on Science, Technology and Society (STS) using the generative themes as forerunners to interconnect pedagogical contents that will be contextualized in the classroom, together with the STs and the abilities proposed by the BNCC, with the intuit of developing the scientific literacy with the 6 th grade students. For this, through dialogue with a rural school from the municipality of Conde, Paraíba State, the necessities of this school for the implantation of the STs, were identified. After the selection of the STs – that were: Pisciculture, Aquaponics, Poultry Farming and the Agroecological Plats – a pedagogical proposal was elaborated with the generative themes related with study objects within the 6 th grade textbook and with the abilities proposed by the BNCC for this grade, with the objective of promoting the scientific literacy from the classroom to its surroundings, where the STs should be implanted. Thus, it was possible to contextualize the pedagogical contents for this grade linked to the implantation and management of the STs, making possible the significative, interdisciplinary learning that values the popular and scientific knowledge to build possibilities for preservation, restoration and socio-environmental strengthening. This proposal can stimulate the scientific literacy withing the rural school, as well as the elaboration of pedagogical projects for the Field Education, that goes beyond the transmission of contents, involving the community around the rural school, in order to value the knowledges and diversities present there.
