The greater the fissure, greater are the presented difficulties.Thus, after the birth of a fissured baby it is necessary to carry out an evaluation so that treatment strategies are drawn and the food approach that is most appropriate for each case is chosen. The professional speech therapist is able to intervene with diagnostic evaluation and treatment of swallowing disorders. Still in the maternity should be the first contact between the speech therapist, the baby with fissure and his family. Objective: This research aims to present the national journals about the feeding of babies with cleft lip and / or palate. Method: This is a review of the national literature on feeding infants with cleft lip and / or palate. This study was carried out by means of a bibliographical survey of publications available online in the "Virtual Health Library" (VHL) and Scientific Eletronic Library Online - SCIELO platforms, with a total of 9 articles in the final sample. The data were analyzed in a qualitative way, from the contents addressed in the articles that composed the sample. Discussion: In general, the studies deal with practically the intervention of early in the feeding of babies with fissure, reinforcing the importance of breastfeeding. Only 3 of the articles that composed the sample reported the intervention of the speech therapist within the multidisciplinary team. Final considerations: The articles found for this work were mostly written by speech therapists. Nevertheless, there were few articles on the proposed theme that dealt with speech-language pathology. Therefore, it is important to emphasize the need for publication aimed at the speech therapist intervention in the feeding of infants with fissure, thus demonstrating performance and competence among the multidisciplinary team.
