Trabalho de conclusão de curso: compreensão dos formandos da UFPB a respeito da estrutura formal

Abstract

The Universities have entered the practice of research in undergraduate, serving the relevance to the academic and professional development of the student as one of the reasons for such inclusion. The Monograph-TCC, in this scenario, that stands out because it gives the students, in most cases, the first contact with the research activity. For the preparation of a work of this nature, beyond the object of researchit self, according to the rules and regulations that take care of the matter, there is a need fork no wing the formal structure; to ensure that the job meet sits objective insaysrespects to the form. This researchaimed to examine on the level of understanding of students about the formal structure of TCC in Accounting courseat the Federal University of Paraíba. Research characterized regarding classification as descriptive of field survey and quantitative data collection occurred througha questionnaire, which was divided into two parts: characterization and understanding of the surveyed students about the formal structure, with the questions of the second part structure as a Linkerts scale type. The respondents were senior students of the course, since they are near the elaboration of TCC. The level sought was ranked among poor, regular and good, considering the pre-textual, textual and post-textual elements as the formal structure of the TCC. The results indicate that students' understanding about the formal structure needs to be improved because elements such as title page, abstract, justification and post-textual elements were classified as low level of knowledge, a percentage lower than 50% of the total. The theoretical foundation and final consideration shave presented themselves as regular level with 54% and 65% respectively of the total. Moreover, with 72% the methodology enters as an element that the student obtained a better understanding
