Ensino de piano em grupo em um projeto social : perfil dos alunos.

Abstract

This research deals with a survey of student data from the piano center of the Program of Inclusion Through Music and Arts (PRIMA) located in the city of João Pessoa – PB, thus seeking to trace the profile of these students, with the purpose of analysing the target audience for whom the project is intended. To this end, we opted for a case study, adopting the survey method where we systematized, analysed, and presented the information obtained from a questionnaire. In addition, we sought to provide a historical overview of the social project, as well as the current legislation that regulates the social project, in addition to the current management responsible for the management of the project in the city of João Pessoa – PB. This text also provides a definition of group piano teaching (EPG) and how this teaching method is specifically applied in the piano center, object of this research, and highlights the partnership between the piano center of PRIMA and UFPB, emphasizing cooperation through the scholars and volunteers of the piano laboratory (PianoLab/UFPB). We also discuss how the project developed during the pandemic years and the need for adaptation in group piano teaching, and how this period affected teachers, students, volunteers, and scholars.
