O olhar dos discentes sobre as disciplinas técnicas do curso de graduação em Biblioteconomia da Universidade Federal da Paraíba

Abstract

Analyzes the perception of the students about the technical subjects training of the undergraduate course in Library UFPB . According this , identifies the disciplines , their menus, laboratory infrastructure , and the satisfaction of the students. However the theoretical referential to the course curriculum of Library currently working with two curriculum: Curriculum basic 1984 focusing on the technical disciplines Cataloguing , Classification and Indexing and the current curriculum based on the 2007 Educational Policy Project , where these disciplines are restructured in the area Organization and information Processing , represented by the subjects Descriptive Representation , Representation and Thematic Representation and analysis of information. It is based theoretically with the themes: academic motivation , training and skills of the librarian. The research is exploratory and its analysis focuses on the quantitative and qualitative method and were surveyed students enrolled in the third period in the semester of 2012.2 , fifth period in semesters of 2012.2 and 2013.1 , and the ninth semester of 2012.2 , totaling universe of 125 respondents. About the results , the analysis identifies that the student had difficulties in the relationship between the subject and its contents , especially noticeable in questions about the satisfaction and sufficiency of disciplines and that there is a lack of motivation among students towards these disciplines and its main because the lack of a specific laboratory to the course , which should be the leaderboards , the Code AACR2 , computers , internet access , as well as printed documents ( books and journals ) and special materials ( multimedia ) for the development of educational activities and teaching and teaching-learning theory and practice. Moreover, the restructuring of the Educational Policy Project 2007 , became the subjects most dynamic and efficient forward to the market.
