Mandrágora, da repulsão à cura: reimersão aos estudos de gênero e religião

Abstract

This research, of a qualitative and descriptive nature, aims to immerse itself in studies of gender and religion, as well as its contribution to the area of study of the Sciences of Religions. As a general objective, we intend to analyze discussions about gender and religion in the scientific production of the Mandrágora/Netmal Gender and Religion Study Group. Regarding specific objectives, the aim is to: create a thematic survey of scientific productions published in Revista Mandrágora; Analyze research on Gender and Religion in the Mandrágora Research Group, taking into account its construction and the interview with Sandra Duarte de Souza; Understand the foundation and development of Revista Mandrágora from the Mandrágora/Netmal Gender and Religion Study Group. We therefore come to the conclusion that gender and religion studies, even in a sexist and confessional scenario, bring significant contributions to the area of studies of Religious Sciences, whether in their political character of expanding spaces that were otherwise dominated by men and We noticed the occupation of these women in these spaces, in addition to epistemologically unearthing histories and records of women in religions.
