O prazer é todo meu: o caráter pornográfico e as representações do feminino em Porno Pop Pocket

Abstract

This study aims to examine the pornographic nature of the work Porno Pop Pocket, written by Paula Taitelbaum and published in 2004. From the title one can see the transgression from standard pornography, since this subject is considered by some cultural sectors as a taboo, here coming into contact with the pop; that is, media culture of easy access. Furthermore, this book, written by a woman, breaks with the paradigms of phallocentric society when it approaches explicitly sexuality, while the poems presentation suggests the sexual act, where the woman, opening her legs also discovers herself, hecoming agent of the intercourse. Nevertheless, I intend to verify how far this text subverts conventional pornographic writing and presents a new meaning to the representation of women in such poems. This work is divided in two chapters. In the first I present the theoretical foundation of what is pornography and how take place its gender relations are represented in it; in chapter two, I present some reflections about pornographic poetry of female authorship and examine the pornographic nature and the representations of “the feminine” and women in Porno pop pocket. To perform such analysis, as my main support the book O discurso pornográfico (2010) and some notions proposed by the contemporary feminist critique, with a focus on literature by women and their emancipation from patriarchal ideology along the text.
