MEMÓRIAS E AFETIVIDADES DO CORPO NEGRO FEMININO: UM DIÁLOGO ENTRE A TELENOVELA VAI NA FÉ, DE ROSANE SVARTMAN, E O ROMANCE BECOS DA MEMÓRIA, DE CONCEIÇÃO EVARISTO

Abstract

The present work aims to weave reflections through a qualitative-bibliographic research, in order to analyze black female characters present in the telenovela Vai na Fé (2023), written by Rosane Svartman, and in the work Becos da Memória (2006), by Conceição Evaristo, so that we can analyze the fictionalization of memory and the black female body, and how the works aim to break a past of narrative stereotyping. With this, we allude to the studies of Leda Maria Martins (1996) and Cristian Souza Sales (2008) in relation to the archetypes of the black woman portrayed in Brazilian literature since the twentieth century, also associating it with the research records present in the work The Denial of Brazil: The Black in the Brazilian Soap Opera (2000), by Joel Zito Araújo. In addition, we will also investigate the unfolding of the individual and collective memory of Michael Pollak (2006) and Maurice Halbwachs (2004) so that we understand the kaleidoscope of memory present in the characters of Svartman (2023) and Evaristo (2006) and how their narrative perspective creates a diegetic link between them and an effect of verisimilitude to the black Brazilian viewer and reader, also reinventing the representation of black Brazilian women on television and in contemporary Brazilian literature.
