Contribuições das artes no processo educativo de alunos com dificuldades de aprendizagem

Abstract

This theoretical work aims to investigate the importance of the arts in the educational process of students with learning difficulties. The research analyzes how artistic activities can influence teaching and learning, as well as exploring educators' perspectives on the inclusion of artistic practices in the school curriculum and the impact of artistic experiences on students' overall development. The study begins with an analysis of the presence of art in everyday life and its relevance in the educational environment. It then reviews the evolution of arts education in Brazil, from the proposal of "Education Through Art" to its mandatory inclusion in the school curriculum. The work also highlights the importance of integrating artistic practices across various subjects, demonstrating how art can provide innovative alternatives for learning and support the holistic development of students. Learning difficulties, which can be neurological, psychosocial, or emotional, are addressed, emphasizing how art can help students overcome these challenges by promoting creativity, self-esteem, and individual expression. The methodology employed is a bibliographic review that discusses the contributions of artistic practices to the education of these students. The analysis concludes that including the arts in the educational environment is essential for creating an inclusive and stimulating learning space. Artistic practices not only enhance academic development but also offer opportunities for expression and self-discovery, which are crucial for students' growth. Therefore, valuing and integrating art into the curriculum is vital to ensure quality education that meets the diverse needs of students and enhances their skills.
