Interdisciplinaridade e inteligências acadêmicas múltiplas de pesquisadores na área de Ciência da Informação: formação, atuação e produção científica

Abstract

The exchange of information has motivated the creation of knowledge and the process of col- lective learning, making it multiple. The research analyzes Multiple Academic Intelligences

(MAI) and interdisciplinarity through the training, performance and production of research professors from Postgraduate Programs in Information Science in the Southern Region of Brazil. It consists of exploratory and descriptive research, with a quantitative and qualitative method and of the documentary type. It is characterized as documentary research using the programs' websites, the Lattes Curriculum and the Sucupira Platform. The programs surveyed were the PPGCI at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and the PPGCI at the State University of Londrina (UEL). It characterizes the programs (year of foundation, areas of concentration and lines of research) and the research professors (academic background,

lines of research, topics of interest and scientific production of articles and represents the in- terdisciplinarity of the intelligences built up throughout their academic career). To this end, it

uses the theoretical contribution of the Knowledge Area Table of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES). The results show a higher incidence in the area of Communication and Information, but also interdisciplinarity in the IAM of

PPGCI/UFSC researchers in the areas of Computer Science, Education, Lan- guages/Linguistics, Public and Business Administration, Accounting and Tourism, Engineer- ing III, History, Interdisciplinary, Law, Economics, Philosophy, Engineering I, Mathemat- ics/Probability and Statistics and Engineering IV. The IAM of the PPGCI/UEL researchers

occurred mainly in the areas of Education, Letters/Linguistics, Computer Science, Interdisci- plinary, Psychology, Engineering II, Public and Business Administration, Accounting and

Tourism and Engineering III. The predominant areas of scientific production were Communi- cation and Information, Interdisciplinary and Education. By way of conclusion, the study re- veals a portrait of the current moment of Information Science in these Programs with various

areas of knowledge based on Multiple Academic Intelligences.
