O Secretariado remoto e suas transformações na era digital: uma análise do trabalho em Home Office

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the relevance of the executive secretary professional in the contemporary context, especially in relation to teleworking, home office, and remote work modalities. With the advancement of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), remote secretarial work has become a consolidated reality, expanding professional opportunities and requiring new technical and behavioral skills. The guiding question of this research is: what is the relevance of the executive secretary today in the face of teleworking, home office, and remote work modalities? The methodology used is qualitative, with a bibliographic approach, based on a literature review on the historical evolution of the profession, the impact of ICTs on the world of work, and the performance of remote secretarial professionals. The results show that the remote executive secretary performs strategic functions, overcoming geographical barriers and expanding their presence in various organizational areas, being essential in managing processes, projects, and institutional communication. It is concluded that remote work is not only a viable alternative but also an irreversible trend that reaffirms the importance of secretarial professionals in the current market
