| Resumo: | O Conselho Municipal da Assistência Social (CMAS) é um órgão de controle social do governo municipal vinculado à Secretaria Municipal do Trabalho e Desenvolvimento Social de Pombal, o CMAS é responsável por formular e deliberar políticas públicas voltado para a política municipal da assistência social. O presente estudo objetiva analisar a efetivação no controle social nas ações do CMAS de Pombal-PB; traçar o perfil dos conselheiros; apresentar as atividades realizadas pelo CMAS no período de 2017 e 2018; identificar a compreensão dos membros do CMAS sobre controle social. Trata-se de um estudo de campo do tipo descritivo com abordagem quali-quantitativa onde os dados foram coletados através de questionário. A partir dos resultados obtidos foi possível verificar que os conselheiros têm entendimento sobre exercício do controle social município de Pombal, assim como compreendem qual o papel do CMAS no exercício do controle social mirando no fortalecimento das discussões em torno da Política da Assistência Social. |
| Abstract: | The Municipal Social Welfare Council (CMAS) is a social control organ of the municipal government linked to the Municipal Department of Labor and Social Development of Pombal, CMAS is responsible for formulating and deliberating public policies focused on the municipal policy of social assistance. The present study aims to analyze the effectiveness in social control in CMAS de Pombal-PB actions; outlining the profile of board members; present the activities carried out by CMAS in the period of 2017 and 2018; identify CMAS members' understanding of social control. This is a descriptive field study with a qualitative quantitative approach where the data were collected through a questionnaire. Based on the results obtained, it was possible to verify that the counselors have an understanding of the exercise of social control in the municipality of Pombal, as well as understand the role of CMAS in the exercise of social control, aiming to strengthen the discussions about the Social Assistance Policy. |
