dc.description.abstract	The objective of this research is to analyse the effects of the Pacto Social Program on the education indicators of the municipalities of the 10th Geoadministrative Region of Paraíba (RGA), which is composed of the municipalities of Lastro, Marizópolis, Nazarezinho, Santa Cruz, São Francisco, São José de Lagoa Tapada, Sousa and Vieirópolis. The investment data come from Paraiba’s Secretary of State of Municipal Development and Articulation and those referring to educational and population indicators are from INEP and IBGE, respectively. The results showed that the region concentrates 2.74% of the population of the state with prominence within the RGA for the municipality of Sousa (63.41%). The municipalities of São Francisco (24.72%) and Vieirópolis (24.43%) stood out because they received more resources compared to the others. Regarding the Basic Education Development Index (IDEB) score of the initial years, there was a significant advance in all the municipalities of the RGA, with the highest growth in the municipalities of Vieirópolis (75%) and São Francisco (42.86%), respectively. In the IDEB score of the final years, the municipality of Nazarezinho is the only one that does not show growth in the period. Thus, these movements of improvements in educational indicators occur in line with the increase in investments in education of the Pacto Social Program, suggesting a positive relation between investments in education and improvements in educational indicators in the municipalities of the 10th RGA.	pt_BR

dc.description.resumo	O objetivo da pesquisa é analisar os efeitos do Programa Pacto Social sobre os indicadores de educação dos municípios da 10ª Região Geoadministrativa da Paraíba (RGA) composta pelos municípios de Lastro, Marizópolis, Nazarezinho, Santa Cruz, São Francisco, São José de Lagoa Tapada, Sousa e Vieirópolis. Os dados de investimentos são oriundos da Secretaria de Estado do Desenvolvimento e Articulação Municipal da Paraíba e os referentes aos indicadores educacionais e populacionais são do INEP e IBGE respectivamente. Os resultados mostraram que a região concentra 2,74% da população do estado com destaque dentro da RGA para o município de Sousa (63,41%). Os municípios de São Francisco (24,72%) e Vieirópolis (24,43%) destacaram-se por terem recebido mais recursos comparativamente os demais. No referente ao IDEB dos anos iniciais, houve avanço significativo em todos os municípios da RGA com maior crescimento no município de Vieirópolis (75%) e São Francisco (42,86%) respectivamente. Já no IDEB dos anos finais, o município de Nazarezinho é o único que não apresenta crescimento no período. Assim, esses movimentos de melhorias dos indicadores educacionais ocorrem em conformidade com o aumento dos investimentos em educação do programa Pacto Social, sugerindo relação positiva entre investimentos em educação e melhorias dos indicadores educacionais nos municípios da 10ª RGA.	pt_BR
