A gestão ambiental e o Polo Turístico: uma abordagem sobre desenvolvimento e meio ambiente

Abstract

The current work stuck to the proposal of installating a touriste Pole on the region of the south-coast, in the city of João Pessoa, state of Paraiba, which was conceived at the end of the 80s, appearing as an economic alternative to the development of the region. Strengthened, by the consolidation of the touristic industry as an activity which presents high levels of increase, standing out, lately, the ecotourism segment, the project fits in the line of finance established by BID/BNB/PRODETUR, which emphasis in its basic structure and utilities. In an area of, about, 506ha, the aim was to emphasize the presence of its beautiful sight, framed by a relatively well preserved and environment where the procedures consequent of man's presence are not very significant, standing out the Atlantic Forest and, other associated ecossistem (sand bank, mangrove swamp, lagoon, embouchure); the FALESIAS and beautiful beaches. In fact a whole natural join which is to require the adoption of urgent measures, in sense to control the process of ocuppating the region, searching for an harmonious society between the development and the environment, with sights, above all, to the maintenance of the environment hentage and improvement of the social benefits. The magnitude of the project and, on the other hand, the environmental management, which incorporates in essence preventive features, where, whith solidarity, are responsible the public authorities and civil society. The environmental management commended in this work is foudated in the Instruments/Principles of National Politics of Environmental, directly related to the area of the Cabo Branco Touristic Pole, concluding by the incompatibility between the current proposal of using the ground in zones, and the environmental situation required by the region. It is suggested, finally, that the project should be redimensioned and directed to the practice of ecologic tourism, with the priority of installating hotels, which real and major benefits arise, certainly, from the richness contained in the privileged nature.
