The Afrocentricity methodology was used, bringing together and giving visibility to the works of black artists and carrying out semi-structured interviews to understand them. Furthermore, other historical sources and contributions from black intellectuals were used to support a narrative that demonstrates the relationship between art and politics, memory and consciousness.
