A equação da onda

Abstract

In this work, we focus our study in wave equations. We present incially basic concepts of Partial Di↵erentials Equations (PDEs) and Theory of Fourier series. In the following, we deal with the physic dedution and also the resolution of this equation. We treat several problems of inicial value and boundary conditions such as: the problem of the string with fixed extremeties, the figering string, the infinity string and semi-infinity string. Additionally, in the last two ones, we have found a solution of D’Alembert type. In the approach of this problems, we had the opportunity of treating not just with mathematical concepts but also with physical related topics to this theme.
