| Abstract: | The Brazil is the third largest producer of fruits in the world rankings, with 43 million tons produced, ago only China and India. But the export activity is still low, mainly due to the low level of technology used today in the cultivation of fruit trees. The fruit-flies are pests of greatest economic significance in the fruitculture world, its importance is directly related to the damage they cause to fruits. The study aimed to evaluate qualitatively and quantitatively the biodiversity of fruit-flies and occurrence of parasitoids associated with orchards domestic. The fruits were collected from different localities and transported in boxes to the Laboratory of Zoology of Invertebrates from the Department of Biological ciences/Center Agricultural Sciences, Federal University of Paraíba - Areia/PB, which were individualized by type of fruit, weighed and screened maintained in plastic trays with a layer of 2 cm sand sterilized. The trays were labeled with field data and placed in greenhouse. The fruit-flies were separated by sex, and only the females were identified. A total of eight species of fruit-flies have been recorded in genus Anastrepha and Ceratitis. The genus Anastrepha and Ceratitis capitata species were found in all family collected from different hosts: Anacardiaceae, Malpighaceae, Myrtaceae, Rutaceae and Oxalidaceae. The level of parasitism was considered low. |
