Título: Eficiência alelopática de algumas espécies vegetais sobre o amendoim e plantas daninhas
Autor(es): FILHO, Marcos Aurélio Oliveira de Melo
Abstract: Allelopathy is an interference phenomenon where a chemical plant can inhibit the development with also can stimulate the growth of others and has been considered its application in weed control in commercial crops. This study aimed to evaluate the allelopathic potential of some species on germination of groundnut cv BR 1 and some weed. The experiments were conducted in a BOD chamber from the Laboratory of Plant Ecology CCA / UFPB where we tested the germinative responses to increasing levels of aqueous extracts, under conditions of 25 °C and a photoperiod of 12 h, where the seeds of weeds and peanuts were maintained for a period of seven and ten days, respectively. The experimental design was completely randomized with five treatments (extract concentrations 0, 25, 50, 75, 100%) and 8 replicates of 25 seeds (peanuts) and 4 replicates of 50 seeds of Bidens pilosa, Indigofera hirsuta and Spermacoce latifolia. At the end of the experiment was determined germination, germination velocity index and root length. Results suggested that the peanut and B. pilosa proved to be sensitive to neem extracts in higher concentrations having allelopathic effect on the variables analyzed. The applications of aqueous extracts of mesquite had significant allelopathic effect on species I. hirsuta and S. latifolia and its germination ceased from 75% concentration. With increasing concentration of the aqueous extract, was greater allelopathic effect among the variables, and the Croton blanchetianus and Ziziphus joazeiro asdonor species with lower inhibitory effect.
