Título: Processo de inclusão escolar de um aluno com síndrome de down em uma escola pública municipal da cidade de REMÍGIO

Abstract: The present End of Course Project sought to understand how has been the school inclusion process of a student with Down syndrome in the regular education at Remígio city, in the state of Paraiba. The pupil student of the first grade of the Youth and Adults Education is the only adult student with Down syndrome enrolled in the regular teaching of the city until this moment. The DS presents cognitive and motor hallmark and with different degrees according to each individual. The inclusive education has the purpose of offer a teaching of good quality and that be able to attend to everybody. In this research can identify, by means of a qualitative study, through questionnaires and semi-structured interviews, that make necessary a bigger interest of the responsible that make up the school environment about what is DS and on the specific needs that the people with special needs present during the educational process. The data was categorized according to Bogdan e Bikle (1994), and analyzed according to the theoretical fundamentals and legal aspects. One can noticed that there is still ignorance about the DS that ends up creating some insecurity by the part of component of the school, as a teacher. The process of inclusion is long, but necessary and can be achieved through curricular adaptations, reformulation of Political-Pedagogic Project, and offering a continuing formation permanently.
