Abstract

Based on the lessons learned from The Little Prince, the study aimed to analyze the attributes of love and affectivity and how its use in the teaching / learning process can influence the learning and socialization of individuals. In order to answer the guiding questions, a consultation was carried out in books, articles and online sites correlating with the lessons deduced from the text. It was found that interpersonal conflicts can interfere in learning and social relations, so the use of literature by adding love and affectivity in pedagogical practices may contribute to an effective cognitive development, as well as behavioral transformations of socialization and self-esteem. The research concluded that the use of literature in the teaching / learning process is fundamental for intellectual and emotional development, because it provides the construction of meaningful concepts for interpersonal relationships in a playful and enjoyable way. It is expected continuity in researches on the subject, as well as that the study favors the motivation to the reflection of educators who wish to offer an education based on a more humanized learning.
