Pedagogia social: desafios de mães estudantes no ensino superior da Universidade Federal da Paraíba

Abstract

This work has the general objective of analyzing the challenges of student mothers to fulfill academic activities and reconcile with motherhood, I tried to analyze this theme in the face of my experience as a mother and student, I could see the importance of having time for my child and reconcile studies. For this reason I decided to investigate how they reconcile motherhood and student life and to understand the solutions they make to harmonize their lives without losing their focus and eventually becoming overwhelmed. The student mothers who participated in this research were from the Licenciatura in Pedagogy course of the Education Center of the Federal University of Paraíba. The research consisted of qualitative analysis, to the total were thirteen mothers interviewed divided in the three shifts. The interviews were done through questionnaires given to the students, in some questions of the questionnaire, we asked them if they have time to study and follow the growth of their child without one thing not interfering in the other, the answers obtained in the data collection are very similar to each other, most of the student mothers do not have enough time to study and think that their children are growing up without them even realizing it, says the time they spend with them and very little to make up for their absence. With results obtained we observed that it is necessary for the daycare aid to be revised to the true need of this public and that the toy library of the center of education open in the three shifts for a greater support to these students students do not discourage with the difficulties experienced and let to realize the graduation dream.
