A realidade educacional de adolescentes e jovens em situação de vulnerabilidade social que estão cumprindo medida socioeducativa: os desafios encontrados pelos alunos no processo de escolarização

Abstract

The objective of this work is to discuss the education of adolescents and young people regarding the schooling process from the experience of the Court of Justice of Paraíba - 2nd Childhood and Youth Court, analyzing the problem of functional illiteracy of these subjects. Therefore, I present the concepts of adolescence, youth and functional illiteracy in relation to the reading and writing processes in the literate society and present a profile of adolescents and young people in conflict with the law coming from the research site, in order to establish a relationship between its historical partner characteristics and its lag in reading and writing. Therefore, the methodological procedures adopted in the development of the work were based on the bibliographic study about the theme, as well as visits to the Specialized Referral Centers in Social Assistance - CREAS of the city of João Pessoa - PB. Through the analyzes carried out, it was concluded that there is a great distortion regarding the age / school year of the adolescents and young people who participated in the research, many of the reasons that lead them to this point are: school dropout, lack of interest , the difficulties of learning, the lack of motivation on the part of the teachers, the birth of children, as well as the initiation in the job market.
