Diagnóstico do estado de conservação da coleção de referência da Biblioteca Central - UFPB - Dicionários

Abstract

Show the research results performed in the heap of reference collection specially the dictionaries. The main objective was to find out the state of conservation of the dictionarios that are included in the Reference Collection at the Central Libray of UFPB. The research was conducted with quantitative aspects of data analysis. To the Data collection was consisted of the application of diagnostic record having supported the form used in the National Library associated yet with the Field Handbook and the imagistic records collected during the research. It was necessary to adapt to our reality seeking datas that was relevant for the research. The results were analyzed and interpreted through adoption of graphic and tables associated with the theories that substantiate the conceptual basis of this study. In the face of these problems presented we found out the need of an intervention of a professional in the Reference Collection, especially the dictionaries that are in the custody of the Central Library UFPB. Although this research leads to the Central Library to promote the effectivation of a preventive conservation plan regarding the storage and packaging of the heap. It also suggests some measures and suggestions that could be heeded by the Central Library.
